Ripped off - Sky Angel Estonian porn star

I got scammed last month by a European porn ‘star’ escort Angel Sky or Sky Angel (seems like she can’t settle on a name). I’d seen some of her videos, then found her socials where she openly advertised her escort services. I made contact, we switched to WhatsApp, ascertained it was her (to my satisfaction at least). She quoted a sky high rate which I negotiated down, she asked for a deposit, which I transferred via bitcoin.

The date came - and she text to say she’d fallen ill yaddayadda couldn’t come etc. would lose the deposit on her flight/hotel and we would have to rearrange.
Been ghosted since I asked for my deposit back until we secured a future date!
I’m aware it was a stupid move and it was always likely I’d be rinsed, but I’m hopeful it’ll serve as a warning if anyone here searches for her.

Are you sure it was 100% her and not a Nigerian scammer(a lot about nowadays)and never ever do a deposit unless they are well reviewed on here,only done it once and and I checked with a few members on here who saw her admittedly not probably as expensive as the one you booked but still done my home work and it worked out in the end

Yeah, thinking with my dick has got me in some scrapes; I’m usually pretty sensible, only pay a deposit to well reviewed girls. I’ve not been caught out like this before.

She wasn’t flying out solely to see me, she said she’d dovetail it with filming a scene and try and get another booking to make it worth her while, she put tweet out to that effect which got (apparently) some traction, then she settled on a date range and I selected one a couple of hours for one of those evenings. She confirmed it was her by sending a naked video talking about meeting in London. So I’m 95% sure it was her. But in hindsight this video didn’t mention me by name or a date.

As soon as she started ghosting me I checked her twitter account and it was disabled.

I’m fairly sure it was always meant to be a scam but part of me thinks the other booking/scene fell through and she no longer thought it was worth her while.

She said she’d fly to London if she could make the economics work for her (more bookings etc), she even asked me to tout her about to my mates but I wasn’t going to get involved with that! She initially quoted €2500 for 2 hours but with very little effort (hindsight is a wonderful thing) I got her down to €1200 for 2 hrs… deposit was well under half of that but still enough to feel like a massive kick in the nads.

She's stunning, I can see why head 2 overtook head 1, but hard to have sympathy with people who pay deposits! You've been on the forum long enough to have come across all our advice. NEVER, under any circumstances, leave a deposit.

Crooks regard it as secure and untraceable, so if you get ripped off they can't be tracked through the comms records

Well this is strange… Today, completely out of the blue I got a text from an Estonian number claiming to be Sky Angel. She apologised and said that she had used a third party to arrange her tour to London and that she had no knowledge of what had happened with the communication and lack of refund and would like to return my deposit. She asked for my BTC address and immediately returned my funds and apologised for the delay in returning the cash. She made mention of her reputation and treating clients well, and asked me to update any feedback I may have left (which I would have done regardless)… I’m flabbergasted but hugely relieved that I got everything REFUNDED

Why I use WhatsApp to ask for a photos to check if same girls in photos can then use google image lookup. Can also video call if they allow it to also check it is not bait and switch.
Also set it to all message disappear  after 24h (incase I forgot to delete the messages).

But never pay a deposit. I may be tempted if the right girl came along with lots of reviews on here and on there platform but this would really be like 1 in a million with a deposit and I would push toward PayPal paying for goods (not friends would rather pay the extra charge) so if they did cancel I can always ask PayPal to refund the ££

Hey, I was pretty close to book here too last year and earlier this year when she advertised she was travelling to London. I spoke to her for some time on X and she seemed serious. She also done filming with what I believe are reputable producers which made me think she was genuine. If I hadn't travelled so much during that time i would probably have put down a deposit too  Glad you got the money back which makes me slightly more confident that I might put down a deposit for her in the future.

Actually paypal would not help you, they'd probably ban you and the escort. It's against their tems and conditions to use it for sexual services.

If I'm ever asked for a deposit, often my first thought is "is this a scam?" at which point I do more due diligence. I was asked quite recently for one for an advance booking. I reckoned she was probably sincere and needed some advance funds to make the economics of her airbnb trip worthwhile, but I declined her request.

Threads like this show if an escort takes a deposit then cancels but doesn't return the deposit within a reasonable timescale they get a negative review.

Out of curiosity how long would you give an SP to return your deposit before posting a negative review, I think a month is more than generous.
