Just returned from a week in Dubai and thought a trip report could help anyone who has considered this as a punting destination.
My flight was with Emirates and it takes roughly 7 hours from London, I got a good deal with Expedia and the 5 star hotel worked out at £65 a night, most other sites were quoting £100 a night, my hotel was called Movenpick Deira which is only a few years old and near to The Marriott which seemed far classier but no doubt more expensive.
Transport in Dubai is very cheap, cabs start at 60 pence and they now have a metro which is mainly overground and you can have unlimited rides in 24 hours for around £2-50, they use an Oyster card system which you buy for £1.
One major downside with Dubai is their alcohol laws, it appears that you can only drink in hotel bars and hotel restaurants and then it is very expensive, you are looking at something like £7 a pint, supermarkets don't sell booze.
All types of restaurants are available, in the shopping malls you can get a meal for around a tenner, in the bigger hotels you could pay £40 for a steak.
Prostitution is blatant in some of the hotel bars and while it is a novelty for the first 20 minutes it soon gets a pain to be pestered by girls from every corner of the planet.
One venue is called The York International Hotel, the entrance fee to the club is £13-50 plus about £7 for a pint, so if you don't like the bar you have spent £20 for a pint, I got quoted £125 from one girl but it wasn't clear how long that would be for, when I refused her offer she asked how much I wanted to pay so they are open to negotiation.
Another venue is the Moscow hotel, an even bigger rip off, £18 to get in plus £9 a pint, all nationalities but one girl came from Ukraine, another from Romania ---- they get everywhere it seems.
The best value bar was The Meridian Hotel near to the airport, £9 to get in but you got your first drink included, the club is called Jules bar and they have very good live music, I counted 9 people on the stage most nights, lots of hookers available but they are not quite so pushy, they do allow smoking in all these bars.
One girl from Vietnam quoted me £180 but I wasn't really bothered about punting, especially at more than London prices.
Language is not a problem in Dubai, everyone seems to speak English, the cab drivers don't say very much but most of them know the major hotels and they always switch the meter on.
I had a nice relaxing week with perfect weather but I won't be returning any time soon, my favourite destination is still Las Vegas, I found the alcohol laws in Dubai annoying especially when I am sitting in a restaurant and can't have a beer with my meal, but then I did know that before I booked.

Reminds me of my trips there 10~15 years, when Cyclone Night Club (RIP) was THE place to pick up Russian stunners. My first one was £250 for an overnight!!

On ISG they label York as part of 2~3 clubs in the same area of Bur Dubai where loads of WGs frequent. As a general comment, York tends to have more African
girls in there. I regularly used to go to Staying Alive Club (Imperial Hotel) round the corner from there and there were always a good selection of EE or various
Stanis (Uzbek, Kryg, etc). You were always hassled by them and they tried their luck by trying to initially charge you a high price, hoping it's your first trip there.
Sadly, having picked them up, loads will try and get you to change your appt from a LT so a ST (ISG abbrev. for short-term), esp if they can still make it back to
the Hotel to pick up another client. If asked, always say you live in Dubai, so they realise it is no point in pitching a high price.

Agree about the annoying alcohol laws, but visitors can take some with them, for consumption in your own hotel room. Club prices are a rip-off. Some of the
5* Beach Hotels will allow alcohol in their restaurants.

For any newbies thinking of going to Dubai, it is worthwhile to read up ISG, which has loads of useful info, as most hotels are non-friendly for taking WGs back,
so advance planning is required.

Up til few years ago, I found Dubai a useful punting destination. Having been intorduced to FKK clubs,  I would rate these higher to Dubai night clubs..

1 Girls don't hassle you in FKK clubs.

2 Prices are fixed in FKK Clubs, where in Dubai, the girls will try their best to pitch off at a higher place.

3 Quality of girls at FKK Clubs are far superior to MOST clubs in the Deira/Bur Dubai region (Not the beach Hotels)

4 Most hotels don't allow you to bring back WGs, and some of the flats would be best avoided. Some of the Chinese girls
  end up paying for a room with a local chinese family, and may even hang up a bedsheet, to make temporary additional rooms.
  I've even ended up banging one girl in the Kitchen, as I couldn't wait for a room to free up!!

5 The sight of gorgeous, naked girls constantly walking past you in FKK somehow will NEVER be replicated in Dubai 

6 DFK and OWO is still a no-no with a most girls in Dubai (esp the Africans, Chinese and Turkish girls). These services
   have to be constantly agreed when negotiaiting, even worse with a girl who can't speak any English at all).
   A local guy summed it up nicely for me when he explained that it is easier to show hand actions and at the same time
   saying simple words like "suck suck NO CONDOM....... Fuck Fuck YES CONDOM"

Too much pressure for me, they pounce on you before you have even bought a drink.

There could be British prostitutes working in Dubai but I never met any, they would have a lot of competition from pretty girls from all over the world, I spoke to a lovely girl from Viet Nam ---------- that could be a destination to consider in 2015, I am sick of Thailand.

Thanks for the report Jimmy. Back in the 90s, I used to go to Dubai regularly on business so you brought back some memories for me.

I wasn't a punter then but don't remember the prossies being that blatant in the hotels then. Maybe they were but they just didn't register with me. I do remember any Western woman foolish enough to wander off the beach and onto the street still in her bikini would get open abuse from passing Arabs.

I wouldn't consider going to Dubai for the girls now, considering what you said. Imagine going all that way just to be button-holed by Romanians!

That would depend if they have a pre-arranged meeting with the "rich Arab".   

If they just "work the clubs" they would have to be very pretty to stand out from the crowd.

I'm sure many will be on websites and signed up to escort agencies out there, or have contacts out there who will book them by the day, for example Sofie Dalzell is away in Dubai for two weeks at the moment, she mentioned that she'd been to the mall to transfer money, I wonder what she's been up to that she has to send money home, and she does escort back in Mancland.

Jules bar has been for me the go bar for over 10 years we used to go to the Cyclone club as it was bigger and had a better range of girls

IT got closed after some one got killed which surprised me but I understand it had reopened.

We have most times go out there for the Dubai world cup horse racing which is a great Day out .

As jim points out the price of Drink is a pain in the Ass , but top hotels great food.

Visit ISG and some of the experienced Dubai members have posted about about how to get round the banned sites. A punting friend I know used Tor and was then able to access Ladbroke's website, for palcing bets.

What do you mean? You don't have to be an ISG member to see the reports. You do have to put the effort in to read a few pages back & you will soon see reports on various bars & clubs & there is a whole section dedicated to hotels. They don't like lazy posters who ask without giving back (they call them middle managers) but if you show that you have read & done some research & ask a couple of targeted questions it's likely someone will respond positively.

This has led a lot of the vets to just keep their gems and rare finds to themselves and spread the info by word of mouth only.

I have a two week business trip transiting through Dubai and I was going to add a week on at the end and spend that there.
After reading all the post on here and  on ISG, I've changed my mind. It seems like a minefield, locating a WG friendly hotel. ISG posters indicate that it is a constantly changing situation. Also it seems that to get a decent Wg, one has to pay double or triple U.K. rates.
I've decided to go to Morocco instead.

My main gripe is the place is one big building site. I can't see that ending anytime soon

A few thoughts about Dubai

Lots of "Gentlemen's" Spas all over the city. Didn't get a chance to sample but looked a possibility for fun

The Observatory bar in the Marriot at Dubai Marina. Monday 8-11pm. Free drinks for ladies. It was very popular on the evening Mrs Steve and I went. Expect to pay £10/pint but no entry charge

Just had 2 weeks out there very hot this time of the year to hot.

40 c in the even at 5am in the morning was 32.

To me it is without question the easiest city to punt in.

The merian hotel next to the Al banston near the airport was court yard garden that has 18 restraunts .

Plus a Irish bar plus Jules bar . Jules is full of WGs and you just take your pick
Some are stunning there are some crap ones. But it's just so easy .

I was offered hourly deals, but no cheaper than punting in London.

Dubai is great for sunshine, that is about all.

Yes, they could, but it would kill tourism stone dead, they can't rely on oil revenues forever.

All non-Islamic practices are tolerated as condescension to pervs as far as I can gather. For instance, there are drinking dens run by Chinese, maybe in a squalid room at the top of an elevator shaft, where they serve you the stuff in dim light as if you were a fucking criminal.

A 'respectable' Muslim of course just marries the prossie at an agreed fee and divorces her the next day like a piece of used trash. A bit like the masons, all sense of real nobility disappeared from Islam ling ago. As if, instead of throwing out the baby with the bathwater, they went 'one better', threw the baby down the lift shaft, and shared the dirty 'sanctified' bathwater.
