Page says the deposit is there to show you’re genuine!! But previous said it was to arrange a babysitter.

When I enquired they wanted £150 upfront for the babysitter then spent days hounding me for it even before I’d made a booking. They seem to be getting reviews for cam work but I’d be very cautious when booking a meet.

And a repeat of the same photos over and over too.

The trouble is, no one at AW manually vets the profiles, apart from verification photos, and even that's not foolproof. They just seem to rely on some sort of computer algorithm which is totally shit.

Every time I look on AW these days, I just see a repeat of 50 or more of the same photos being used time and time again. Some of them have been used for over 4 years.

Profit over honesty seems to be AW's motto.

Add in all the ones “here for hookup” or “available for incall, Outcall and car meets” then take out the known locations with fake profiles and there is only a handful of new profiles created daily

What is really annoying is that I have provided proof to AW that some profiles have been using the same fake photos for over 4 years, yet they still give the next fake registered profile the benefit of the doubt by allowing them approx. 48 hours to verify the account.

It really needs someone to investigate AW and shake them up a bit.

There’s been a massive drop in fakes lately. All the hookup / down for sexy pussy etc have gone for the last few days. AW don’t give a shit, so wonder if a raid has taken a few out

Only a handful of new profiles being registered each day now, and 99.9% of them are verified. 3 days worth of them on the 1st page.

Before there were at least 4 or 5 pages daily of new profiles.

I signed up to Facebook dating a little while ago. Some of the photos that were used in the fake AW profiles (looking for hook up mainly) are now slowly but surely starting to appear on FB dating instead.

FB and AW must have connections somewhere as when I tried reporting a few of them (unfortunately you can't give a detailed reason why) and all you get back from FB is that the dating profile doesn't go against their community standards.

Lewis, I think you could be reading too much into this. Most of the fake profiles were created by a bunch of scammers from Nigeria who post on escort sites worldwide to try and work the deposit scam. I have baited a few and the same MO is used no matter which site you contact them from. I am no great fan of the management of AW but in this case the only thing I am unhappy about is the length of time they took to do anything. The thing that probably pushed them into doing anything was the possibility of being complicit in the fraud by providing the means for it to be carried out.

I think I asked this before and got no answers, there are quite a few unverified profiles floating around with feedback in double or treble figures and live for years

Is it the case that you do not have to verify and the time limit only applies if you try to verify and the profile goes live regardless?

There’s defo been a change and now only verified profiles are getting through. I missed that scandal, do you have a link ?

It went on too long, and suspect it was something major that made them put this in place. As we now they are a profit first organisation
