That has been my experience abroad, but not so much here in the UK.  With a few pleasant exceptions out of the Sunbury Russian group, they're mostly terrible service as well as old and jaded.  My theory is that they tour europe and high end and when they reach their end of shelf life they are put out to pasture here in UK.  This explains a lot, including the way they are really jaded. Maybe they are used to the yacht life and high spenders when they were young, and now they aren't this is all beneath them here.  Hope they saved up enough to retire instead of spending it on 'other things'hahaha
