I’m still new here and up until recently I’d never entered a Thai/Chinese Massage shop and thanks to reading up on the reviews here and some helpful guidance from a couple of experienced campaigners I’ve recently broken my cherry.
BUT it’s left me wondering?
Why is it that the Asian Shops operate in such a cloak and dagger way? From fake pictures of girls, to bait and switch bookings, to lack of transparency on services offered, to unclear pricing and Turkish Market haggling.
I get that they want to keep things under the radar of the law and tax man, I get they want to protect the identity of the girls but why does this differ so much from the Sheffield Parlours, Angels in Leeds or the many across the boarder in Manchester?
I know people are different but it just leaves me feeling a little cold and uncomfortable. The feeling of trying to negotiate down to the real price, attempting to obtain services that may not be usually available and as much as a good massage can be an enjoyable experience the price of an hour running to cost that exceed £100 sometimes for a 10 minute wank and a feel of a pair of tits?
Am I missing something?
In general, certainly regarding the Thai shops and providers, i would say that the only thing you are missing is the understanding of Thais and there communities
The shops which are advertising on the non legit sites like the VS escort site are unlikely to use actual photos of their girls as these girls will live and socialise in the local communities so their public identities will be hidden, this is from the non Thai people in the local communities
You will get some shops whom try to operate semi legitimately, like Yonlanda and Pannarai who will publish the photos of some of their girls though many of these girls may not live local to the shop
The lack of transparency on extras will be more about the mamasan/owner been able to have plausible deniability with landlords, councils or other authorities
The lack of transparency is also another way for the girl to provide what she wants to whom she wants, or not to provide as the case may be
Regarding the Sheffield Thai shops, i cannot say that i have seen these to be any different to many other areas, regarding local girls anonymity
Service charges in Asian massage shops have often been higher than with indi set ups, you have an entrance fee to pay to the shop, which goes to pay for the running of the shop and the girl will get a small cut
These type of shops tend to be recognised as beauty treatment shops in the eyes of the licencing authorities, so the door fee is in fact the only fees which should be charged
However, as we know, once in the room you could be offered extras which will be at the girls discretion and that fee is where the girl makes her money
With the non Asian places, i.e Angels in Leeds, these places tend to be legitimate Knocking shops and potentially licenced as such, the entrance fee is usually a token figure and you will then be charged a set fee for a set service once in the room with the provider, in some cases the size of the set fee may also be linked to the room you take, i.e a baisc room will be a lower price than a superior room, though the overall costs involved here may be a little less than in a massage shop, but in general you know what you will be getting if you go into Angels or similar
