I'm having my op tomorrow so will be out of action for a few months even Fifi and Laila aren't gonna get this dead horse to work that quick again. But they've both sent good luck messages today.
I would urge all you guys that are over 45 to go to your GPs and get a PSA test don't wsit til you've got symtoms it will be too late by then, this prostate cancer kills 12000 blokes a year. It'z just a blood test.

I've no idea what a PSA blood test is and I'm not over 45 but I reckon I'll check it out.  Thanks for the heads up and hope everything goes well.

PSA stands for Prostate Specific Antigen.
Put simply when your body has something wrong with it, it gives off antigens which are specific to that area the test measures these, 3 and below is good, 20 plus is really bad. It's not a test specifically for cancer but it tells them if there is something wrong with the prostate and to send you for an MRI to get further results. It could just be enlarged my brother and i had the same PSA but he had enlargement and i had cancer. We got it as inheritance from our Dad. I would rather of had his classic car!!!

The earlier you catch it the less serious the treatment is and the better chance you got of saving the functions of your little fella.

Thanks for the advice - I had a digital test about 5 years back but PSA is more accurate than a subjective finger in the arse (yes that kind of digital).
