Author Topic: Scotland may be looking at making sex work illegal in some way.  (Read 4286 times)

I heard earlier on some kind of radio station (I was flicking through stations so can't name which one) that Scotland may make it illegal to pay for sex while also maintaining it legal for women (and men) to sell sex.  :unknown:

I cant seem to find a link so I am thinking maybe I heard the conversation on the radio wrong and turned on station midway through the conversation and got the wrong end of the stick somehow.  :unknown:

can fellow members confirm or deny this?  :hi:

I'm looking to exploit a loophole where my service provider and I both sell sexual services but she is just more expensive than me.

nice try mate. don't think it will work mind you.  :)

It is abit worrying this is though. I don't live or punt in Scotland but that doesn't mean this will eventually just be Scotland.   :dash:

You will just get the old classic of a SP selling a biro pen for £150, but you get "extra" free service for an hour as a thankyou

it is easier to police this on the street with street sex workers but almost impossible to police on the online world.

also, counterproductive  as 99% of online space is occupied by willing and safe sex workers.

best measure is to work with sex workers and (dare i say it) punters to end human trafficking and forced prostitution.

worst measure would be to actively seen to be looking to take sex workers rights away.

Like the old life insurance advert where you’d get a free Parker pen just for enquiring

Sure as anything ink, a lid, a clip, a top etc will be an extra  :D

Who remembers the old nudie pens when you turned the pen up/down for the girl pictured top to go up and down? The world has of course gone mad since then with PC bullshit. And yes, I’m old.

Pass me a can of Tenants with a girl on the can.

Did you think of using the search function?  It has only been mentioned on and off for the last couple of years!

you will notice that none of the news articles mention the scottish government consulting on the issue or proposing legislation
its all SMPs 'hoping to introduce a bill' - which means get their name in the press saying something progressive
Personally, I think its just noise
