Please someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the usual course of action is to reply saying “fuck off”

Then block-delete.

Loads of us have had them, and so far no-ones complained of being killed.

Tell them to fuck off. Or just ignore them. Either way nothing will happen

It's a scam. Either block and move on or wind them up. Tell them they owe you money, or try to sell them insurance/double glazing/giraffe shit for fertiliser.

Let's be clear - it's bullshit from start to finish.
Booking an escort isn't illegal if they work alone. Walking away isn't illegal.  However, admitting to pimping an escort is. It's living off immoral earnings. So too is blackmail.
Your three options are
1. Report it to the police.
2. Threaten to report it if they don't fuck off.
3. Don't do anything. Block and ignore the text as there is no way they can 'pay' to get your address. Threatening it just makes them look stupid.

Cheers lads
I think you already knew the course of action to take

I had one quite a long time ago that really pissed me off.  Usually I block them and forget. For some reason, this one set of scam messages really pissed me off.  So, I spent 20 minutes searching for car insurance, windows and solar panels online. I gave a fake address and the scammers mobile number. Then I opted in to all the marketing SMS messages.  Until they binned that sim card, they'll have been bombarded with adverts from companies that never stop trying to contact you.

Always use a burner phone for punting. It’s very easy to find social media accounts (instagram, Facebook and TikTok) using a phone number.
My advice : ignore them. They send the same text to hundreds of other punters. I get plenty of these texts

Had loads normally when you message asian viva street adverts queen street.    I normally say I'm waiting at the door..  where are you

Offline HILTS37

Tell him to get fucked, mate. It's all bluff. He won't do a thing. If you want to set your mind at ease, report it to the police. You can do it online, so you don't have to worry about them taking the piss or judging you. Anytime one of these low lives threatens a punter, we should all send them loads of dummy bookings to mess with them.

I doubt they got bombarded, but no doubt it pissed them off. An effective one I've used it to string them along for a bit, and dangle the bait, then keep dragging it out until they click it's not going to get them anywhere.

Block

Or

If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them....maybe you can hire The A-Team.

I love it when a plan comes together

Report it to the police, you've done nothing wrong and the police will act in discretion.

I’m assuming they have text you punting phone?
Tell them to fuck off as said above.

To get your details online the would need a minimum of your surname and post code
