Dangerous Scam, Newcastle - Vivastreet

Hi

i saw an advert on vivastreet, for a girl based in Newcastle, County Down. (advert no longer available)
I had never seen her advert  before
Phoned this number 07543548765, but no answer. sent a txt enquiring about booking, asking where she was based

Reply came back, based in city centre, saying £120,  £60 deposit now and £60 upon arrival
(already sounding dodgy, deposit scammer and no one would ever say Newcastle city centre)

I replied saying that i don't pay deposits. thought no more of it

then about ten hours later, i got a reply

"Listen up, Nothing personal but you messed with the wrong person.
That girl that you crossed paths with? she's not just anyone. She's got connections and has people looking out for her
you think you can just waste her time and get away with it? think again. you owe her £750 and you've got 2 hours to pay.
Transfer it or you will be dealing with me and we will involve you're family. iv got details form you, you cant run away from us
If you don't answer we will come and take the cash 1000£ for this mistake
Abd trust me,  you don't want to deal with me and my boys
consider this your only warning. if you fuck about, you will find out
tick tock, time is running out
so i will send you bank account where to pay me now"

Even though i use a punting phone, and i know they have no was of tracing it
It did unsettle me a lot

if you search the site you'll find many of us have experienced similar, usually after contacting a VS profile.
We're all still alive, don't worry about it

Mods and helpers - If I put 07543548765 into the search box (and advanced search) it generates no hits. Is there a reason for that or am I just searching too quickly? It would be handy to be able to search a phone number and identify these scum begs before falling in to the same trap.

Ps. I've entered that mobile number into the Great Nigerian Lottery prize draw. Hopefully they win and don't get too many spam calls.

you should have taken the bank details then put it all on the police anti scam/sexploitation phone line and let them follow it up. you can do it anonymously

Easy to say, but when it happens to you, hard to do. Making a clean break and moving on feels much better, I would probably change my punting phone/sim too for peace of mind. Good practice anyway.

Possibly, though there's a lot of this crap about.
Given the report though it could be helpful to pass this info on to the police if there's a way of doing it without self-incrimination.

I’ve been on the end of this shit too before, very similar phrases and threats used.  Had it just recently too, phone call with an Eastern European accent.  Hung up and blocked the number before the cunt had chance to spew his threats about his boys and being from Albania.  The only escort advert I can think of that led to this was this one, which is also advertised on Vivastreet but with a different phone number, currently advertising in Coleraine.

This is the phone number that called me a couple of times whilst I was doing the Block Caller, after which I must have had 20 Unknown Caller calls before he/they gave up: +44 7463 886306

Tempted to pass this number on to the Police.

Would love to meet face to face with one of the cunts doing this type of intimidation/threat!

I wouldn't bet on Crimestoppers Anonymity. Phone their number from your mobile, outline your plan for a security atrocity and wait at home to see who comes calling....

Not saying such a facility shouldn't exist in principle nor that we shouldn't protect the weak and answer back to wongdoers but let's not be naive here.
