England lose all because of a female ref  :sarcastic: :sarcastic:

A French female ref too. Sacre Bleu   :dash:
I can full understand why Bellingham's goal was disallowed,  the ball clearly struck the England player on the arm and it was deflected into the path of Bellingham to score accidental or not.
On the subject of Bellingham his brothe Jobe has signed for Dortmund for £27 million but if I was Sunderland I'd run to the bank to cash the cheque. He was anonymous in the play off games  and league match against Coventry.  I guess he's still young though, plenty of time to improve :unknown:

When Gyokeres is sold by Sporting Lisbon to whichever club, It seems Coventry won't make a penny from a sell on clause  :    :yahoo: :yahoo:

Well he won't be joining Wankchester Utd , He wants to join a club that's going to be challenging for honours and playing in the Champions league  :sarcastic:
If we have already sold part of the sell on clause it means we have already received money for him at the start of the season to sign Grimes and Rudoni    :unknown:.

Thats one way to put a promising career on a downward spiral
Utd will pay top whack transfer & wages, coz they have to
So good news for Sporting & him

Has he realised that instead of CL matches in europe he may get the opportunity to get the shit kicked out of him against the likes Hull & Millwall in the cups ?
& no VAR

You're probably right given Amorim
Tho he'd be left high & dry if he gets spanish archer next season

How are the player sales going balancing up PSR ?

I think it'a and awkward time. England always look shaky after a long season

There's also psychological fatigue after reaching 2 Finals and a Semi-Final but failing imo.

England have been awful but it's only fair to give him time

If that's the case we have no chance as the tournaments are normally held at the end of a long season. Though what about 2022, that was held in November and December and we didn't do too well in that one either.

if it was about natural justice  (ie the effect of the ball hitting his arm) i would agree with you, but its not. The  rule is that it must be an intentional/deliberate handball. Was that a deliberate handball? seems a tough and probably incorrect decision to me! But i suppose that is what makes a ref's job so hard - its personal interpretation!

How often are penalties given after striking a defenders arm in the penalty area quite often unintentionally  :unknown: it is a very grey area.

i probably didn't word that very well - as "handball" also includes use of the arm to make your body bigger (so to block a shot etc) or having your arm in an "unnatural" postion (both of which could be described as a deliberate action by a person - even if unintended!

But there is a "judgement call" required by the ref which is always going to be subjective and inconsistent across different games and by different referees!

I mean I guess the hate/dislike makes sense when you consider that United ruined many a childhood and adulthood!

So much hate here for Manchester United, where does it come from?  :hi:

It comes from the belief or arrogance of their fans who think they are the biggest club team in the world. That and the fact that most Wankchester Utd fans live down south and have never been anywhere near the theatre of nightmares. Although to be fair you don't see so many kids wearing their shirts nowadays.  They have jumped on the Manchester City / Liverpool/ Arsenal glory bandwagon.

Really? Arsenal fans sing 'We're by far the greatest team the world has ever seen'.  :unknown: It's all light-hearted, and I guess it's natural for every fanbase to big up their own club, and while there might have been a point in time where United were commercially the biggest club in the world, I think the majority of fans will happily acknowledge that Real Madrid have always been the biggest club in the world. But are United one of the biggest clubs in the world? Absolutely!

The whole 'United and their southern fans' rhetoric must surely be outdated now. I know plenty of people in London who have supported Liverpool their entire lives and regularly attend home games! You allude to some fans jumping on the Manchester City/Liverpool/Arsenal glory bandwagon, which proves a point in itself; new fans with no family allegiances will tend to gravitate towards teams who they associate success with.

At the minute he seems he's going nowhere, as Sporting appear to have reneged on a gentleman's agreement (Ray Croc should have taught everyone to never trust a gentleman's agreement!)

It seems Arsenal are prioritising Šeško, and it's almost certain an either or situation. If Šeško does go Arsenal then I think Gyökeres ends up at United.

When I lived in Manchester (fine city, had some great times), the City and United fans and I mean the locals who were born and bred in Manchester were royally fucked off with southerners supporting their respective teams. I remember one guy saying to me "what is it with cockneys supporting Utd, London has plenty of teams why can't the buggers support one of them!".  :D

No I don't think they are, some of the group games will also be in the early hours of the morning due to the time difference between the UK and USA.
Channel 5 will show 23  games including 16 group games , 4  last 16 games , 2 quarter finals , one semi final and the final.
Chelsea's opening game against Los Angeles fc will be on Monday evening 8pm channel 5
Manchester City's opening game is on Wednesday 5pm channel 5
DAZN will show every game live.

I think it's the thing that having been at the top and so big in the UK for 20+ years the fans got used to being `on top of the perch` and when they fell off 10 years ago the expectation was it wouldn't be for long.

Every time they won another cup or changed manager etc the hopes went back up and the fans would quote how they would soon be back on their perch `where we belong ` and it's that sort of arrogance amongst (some) fans that's the reason why the 89% dislike everything to do with utd

The sensible and realistic ones now admit they are a shadow of what they were and in fairness they are OK to talk to but there was one guy spouting shite about being back on the perch etc before the Europa final  :dash:

Just watching Bayern Munich  v Auckland City in the World Club cup. ( Channel 5) Bayern 6-0 up at half time without even breaking into a sweat. Auckland are only semi professional and have the usual mix of civil servants, salesmen and barbers in the team. They qualify for this tournament as Oceanic champions which really goes to show what a joke this tournament is. The only surprise is despite being 6-0 up at half time Harry Kane hasn't got on the score sheet yet. There's going to be some one sided games in this tournament judging by some of the teams involved  :unknown:
There is another Auckland FC team who are fully professional and play in Australia's A league. Surely they would offer more of a fight .

Tonight games, guess we will see similar core lines

It wouldn't surprise me, if the winner of this cup, they come from Europe, and the final is two European teams.

Think already there are issues showing up, like empty stadiums, and fans have been told to move seats, to make it look like the stadiums are full.  Other issue coming up, is the heat, and players maybe facing heat exhaustion

Now the Qatar world cup 2022 was moved to the winter, all because of the heat, just wonder if something similar could have been done with 2026 fifa world cup

A good point regarding the heat but some of the World cup games are being staged in Canada , very chilly in the winter. With Mexico also staging games I guess they have to find a happy medium for all three countries.  I reckon PSG will add the World club title to their Champions league crown. They looked impressive in their opening game against Atletico Madrid although Atletico did play a lot of the game with 10 men.
I don't think the major European leagues would be happy having another disrupted season
