Cambridge is as dead as door nails; even worse than usual. Last review all of two weeks ago. Complete absence of touring SPs .

I was thinking more along the lines of it's lambing season  :drinks:

I was actually thinking the forum seemed busy but perhaps that's just replies in the OT threads i'm subscribed to  :unknown:

North Wales is usually quiet most of the time, but even more so lately.
A new massage shop opening in Mold gets headline news even if it's probably legit. :(

The Welsh board often relies on the punting scene of Cardiff and surrounding areas. Anything north of the M4 corridor is a wasteland and doesn't have enough of a scene to get frequent posts and reviews (the vast majority of my posts and reviews are in the North West section of the board with only very few being in the Welsh board, even if I would be open to punting in North Wales if there was a better scene) - I don't live anywhere near Cardiff so can't comment on the quality down there but I do always have one eye on the Welsh board in case someone more northern takes my fancy.

It's all down to the new 20mph speed limit introduced.  It takes longer to visit service providers now  :dash:

I was contemplating driving to Wales to see a WG, exchanged a few emails, but then remembered the new speed limit, so informed her i wouldn't be visiting her for this reason.  :(  You'd think they would be encouraging us to go there and spend our hard earned. Perhaps they have a fantastic economy, and don't need us.

It's not 20mph on the M4...!
Do  you know of any WG's who work from the M4 services then, that i could see ?

It's not that bad Alabama, just allocate a little bit more time and enjoy the beautiful views along the way  ;)

Maybe  ;) :drinks:  I am attending a speed awareness course at the end of the month, so maybe not my best option. I was caught doing 35mph in a 30 zone, so nearly twice your speed limit ! lol

How fast do you want to drive in built up areas? does a reduction of 10 mph really make that much difference?  :unknown:

I would like to drive at 30mph, if it is safe to do so. I would be ok driving at 20mph for a short distance, but not for a long journey. Following your logic, would 10mph rather than 20mph make much difference ?

From what I've read it's only roads that were restricted to 30 mph that now have a 20 mph limit and there's roads in built up areas all over the country that have 20 mph restrictions, just not all of them like in Wales.

I don't see your logic when you say 10 mph as that is 20 mph below what it was not the 10 mph below that has been introduces. To be honest I don't think driving around built up areas at 10 mph below what you could before having a major effect on journey times.

How long a journey do you have purely driving in built up areas?  :unknown:

Still loads of 30/40/50mph roads too!

If you can’t get to grips with Waze/google maps…then you might want to give your head a wobble. The timing there is pretty spot on so time management isn’t an excuse.

20mph in built up/residential areas has been a thing for ages in major cities so it’s nothing new.

Correlation not causation

Seems to be lots of North Wales Thai massage discussion but very little else.. Even the routine Cardiff Portfolio punting reviews have dried up.

Guilty as charged.  I am no longer in Cardiff on a weekly basis so the opportunity to punt and review the Welsh wenches is less for me.

Well it makes a third difference which is quite a lot,I don' have a problem with 20mph by schools but it's too slow in modern cars.

I can see a time when a man or girl with a Red Flag will be wallking in front of a motor car.

The loopey anti car council here in Cambridghe would be the first to implement that if they could:(..

it's not about how fast your car will go . It's about your reaction time to stop when somebody jumps out in front of you . Plus you are more likely to kill somebody you hit at 30 compared to 20.. thems the facts

As maybe but on that basis where do you set the limit why not 25 or 15 or10?....

Makes feck all differnce round here in Cambridsge the couccil love closing roads they plan to close Mill road to ru educe the traffic! how that helps god alone knows it carries the road over the railway line..

Plus we've got this fecking abortion, a Dutch roundabout someone when to Amsrterdam inhaled some waccy baccy then thought we must have one of these cost them ped st part of 3 mill !!..

Roads near to schools are usually clogged up with women in large Suv's parking and blocking the roads picking up their brats,  you'd be lucky to do 10mph.

that's true - but - you are more likely to kill or injury someone at 20 than you are at 10. and at 10 your are more likely to injury someone than you are at walking speed. where do you stop with this? around my way, we have roads that are now 30 that had no speed limits on at all when i started driving - and i don't remember any bad accidents etc. too many doddery old gits on councils with nothing better to do - they don't know how to solve the big issues but feel they have to do something!!

but anyway - apologies, going way off topic!!

The BBC reported :  External Link/Members Only

Mr Waters, who has transport in his portfolio, also wrote: "Police guidelines say enforcement will be targeted on drivers travelling 10% above the speed limit - plus 2mph.

"For now this will be increased to 10% plus 4mph meaning we start to prosecute at 26mph in a 20mph limit"

So that's clear.  We can all do 26 in a 20 which used to be a 30.

So what's the point of the change then? Covid and lockdowns seems to have given our politicians and endless desire to "keep us safe" and to "save lives". I have a better idea - fuck off and leave us alone.

So, you have never met a woman other than Welsh, who is friendly and easy going ? You seemed pretty impressed with that Thai working girl that you reviewed. And how are you qualified to know that he doesn't need a WG  :unknown:

And you know this for a fact ? I am guessing by the shite that you post, that you are a young immature punter ? In fact, if it's so easy for you to obtain free sex, why aren't you out shagging now, instead of being a paid up member on an escort site  :unknown:
