Long drive

Hi,
I have been punting for nearly 10 years now first parlours at uni then agencies/AW when I moved back home. I often look for punts within a 10 mile radius which often restricts the quality I can receive. I have a car and a sat nav but I often feel uncomfortable driving somewhere unknown despite the quality escorts closer to Newcastle. I live on my own so no one would know or care I went for a long drive and a punt. My question is does anyone do this, punt close to home out of sheer laziness rather than necessity?

Most of mine tend to be near home, but I have been known to drive a 300 mile round trip for a good punt, regularly drive 80 mile round trip.

The furthest I've ever driven for a punt is to Teesside from North Tyneside but normally I wouldn't go much further than about 10 miles.

The closer the better as far as I'm concerned.

Newcastle & surrounding area are within a 10 mile radius for me so don't usually need to travel too far. I have, in the past made a round trip of 250 miles.

No, no need to tbh and the petrol money could go towards another punt

The fact that there is no gaurantee of it being good also puts me off.plus i like to know the area, have a scout around pre punt, be comfortable

I was went to Manchester to visit a friend and on the way stopped at a manchester parlour for a punt but it was December and it had been a long cold drive so I wasn't up to much when it came down to it. Stockton darlington is crap for punts.

Yes HOLYCROSSER I feel the same I could drive a long way then only to find disappointment with a WG who isn't what she claimed to look like or perform like. The fuel money would have been spent better on a girl closer who i would have had b4 or had been recomended

I went to Willington a couple of years ago to visit two beautiful 21yo girls , now that was certainly worth the trip but I made sure there were good coms and " vibes" before I set off with a hard on

I don't really have much choice as everywhere is a long drive for me.

From 1999 to 2013 I commuted from Newcastle to Edinburgh to punt and had the time of my life and probably would have stiil been doing it had the scene not been flooded with couldnt-give-a-shite Romanians.

Normal punts for me is 100 mike round trip
Cumbria is a wilderness
Even Preston can have its benefits and quality but plenty to tick off on the NE
Just watch out for speed cameras and parking tickets though
