Hi to all hope you are well
Does anyone know of a suitable dvd player that will allow me to play mp4 porn through a usb memory stick-ive read that most modern dvd players with a usb port will work but i hAVE 2 players but they dont recognise the format so i assume maybe they are too old
I prefer to download my porn and put favourites onto a memory stick and then watch at my leisure
thanks in advance
ps not looking for anything fantastic or expensive just a do the job player.

Are you playing the DVD Player through the TV?

You could try to use plex, and it works fine for me, to view porn hard drive collection

So basic set up, install plex on your pc, and connect your usb memory stick.  If you have a smart tv, or a xbox/ps console, install the softwa, and here as well, and then you should be able to watch your porn collection on tv, or the console

What make and model number of DVD player are you using?

What error message do you get?

What format is the USB drive in?

Once you have the make and model info you can Google it to find out what file formats it supports.

Does your TV not have a USB media player?

If not keep your existing DVD player and you could invest in one of these? A tiny little box and should play any file format you will come across. 4k UHD (assuming your TV is adequate) and including upscaling. HDMI connection to TV.

I run my laptop through the TV, either connect remotely or via a DVI cable

A little off topic, but the iPhone 15's have USB-C out now, and can connect to TV's using a USB-C to HDMI adapter. Screen mirroring to smart TV's via chromecase works very nicely too

check your thumbstick is FAT32 or exFAT format.  If it's NTFS (Microsoft NT file system) some systems may not see the thumbstick.
*FAT32 you'll have a 4gb file size limit, whereas exFAT can take larger files but again may not be supported by some systems.

If you have a dumb TV, move into the new age with something like a chromecast with g00gle TV, plus a USB type C hub with PD passthrough like this to add some ports: External Link/Members Only
{you need a PD (power delivery) port to power the chromecast}

check out cex for used devices or argos or your favourite tech store.

VLC player will then play most formats; mp4, mkv. rmvb, etc.  If you can rip a dvd (vob files), there's a good chance VLC can read the files.
