Bonkers Burnham-on-Sea

Burnham on Sea for those who don't know it is a fairly large but sleepy commuter area south of Weston super Mare.
It usually has one or two SPs, often none active at any one time.

This week there are SIX Thai ladies listed in the area, all with different mobile numbers.
Probably as many as much larger Bristol.
Talking with a few of them, it's an OK place for business as there's so little competition, but not exactly non-stop.

Anyone have any idea WTF is going on ?!!

I agree Scutty, no argument on any of them, though trains are a challenge as it's a decent taxi ride from Highbridge station.
Just seems odd to have so many suddenly appear where so few have been before, in one week, in a normally quiet area.

Maybe it's their Christmas party ?!

Post-covid there's been a general increase in the number of touring Thai girls across the country. Four/five years ago 90% of the Thais in the UK were in permanent parlours/shops/brothels and mainly seemed to be UK resident, usually stuck here following failed marriages or else brought here to work in relatives shops.
Now there seems to be an organised increase with "trafficking" gangs (for want of a better word) sponsoring younger girls to come to the UK and working as transients, rotating through numerous cities in more temporary pop-up brothels.
Preston's a good example with usually 20+ tourers, pre-covid that would have been two or three. The numbers of ladyboys has gone up as well - working through the same gang rotation sites.
But you can see it in other well-connected towns as well - east and west midlands notably

I've noticed lately that a few SPs who mainly offer services around the Bridgwater area are now offering the odd day per week in Burnham, specifically both of these who are usually Bridgwater based.

toured in Burnham end of October for a couple of days. All of their time in Burnham was on a Friday (read on).

There's the place near the rugby ground which is often used by those offering services on Vivastreet (documented on here) but from what I could gather from the profiles when Burnham incalls were offered they appear to be working out of an AirBNB close to the town centre, somewhere around one of those East to West streets between the Esplanade and the High Street.

As Conker69 states big market not far away and thousands of those workers are housed overnight on one of the holiday camps in Brean.

Potentially great location, not so much for the locals but for a transient workforce. This might tie in with the SPs being there only on a Friday, do the construction workers finish early on a Friday???

My doorstep..

The air b&b bungalow twitched a few curtains, and by pure luck a decent new venue just off the high street became available to rent.
And due to it being a dessert here, the word got out and a few are dipping their toe into the area to see how its going.

Lovely Tracey on the seafront has long gone and left a bit of a hole in the area.

There seems to be an influx of Thais in and around many surrounding areas of Bristol that I have noticed but it may be because I've developed a bit of a taste for them recently and never took notice before.

Thanks for your answers gents - all very informative and make sense, I learned a few things there, and forgot about that large population of gentlemen working away from home down the coast. The Friday thing makes complete sense - I'll book on other days.
And yes, the place in town seems to be getting more popular - I honestly don't know how the one near the rugby club has operated for so long without someone local working out what's going on !
