Im guess some or most of us, have some sort of skin tags on their body, and how many

I have started of with a few here and there, but now, seems to be a lot more, even noticing vey small one, which soon have become bigger.  Quite a few round the area of my balls, and back side, and big and noticeable.

But my back and neck are the worst 4 on my neck, and around 10 on my back, plus under my arm-pits

my ex used to wind thread tightly around the base of hers to cut the circulation off
after a few days they would drop off

Tell your GP about them. Depending on the size they can freeze them to kill the tissue.  It'll then go black and fall off and probably never come back.

Plenty of aesthetic salons will remove them. Also the better trained at these places may well be be to advise if you need to have the NHS take a look at them  :hi:

Skin tags are like icebergs, most of the mass is below the surface, I had one cut out of my arse under local anaesthetic and the surgeon insisted on showing to me, I nearly fainted.

Are they diabetes skin tags?

I had one on the back of my calf about 15 years ago. The practice nurse zapped it with liquid nitrogen and it fell off within 4 days. It's never returned.

You didn't have the wreckage of the Titanic up there did you?

There's a product you can get of amazon.  It works wonders. Apply and it sort of freezes it off. I'll link it in a sec

I had an annoying one on my upper arm, used to snack when putting on shirts.
Went to a local beauty salon to have it removed.

Indeed, anyone who develops multiple skin tags, especially over a relatively short period of time, should be checked re type 2 Diabetes and metabolic syndrome.

I have heard this product recommended for wart removal ...

... on the basis it uses frozen C02 so more effective than many.

A skin tag is a little different. I suggest a trip to your GP to get their opinion and treatment advice.

I used the one where you put a band over the skin tag and it cuts the blood supply off and they then drop off after about a week. They seem to work well on the bigger skin tags but I had trouble getting any success on smaller ones.

To me, it sounds a similar technique - using low temperature to freeze the lump on the skin, just C02 as opposed to Liquid Nitrogen.

When some years ago I had some skin tags removed which were snagging on my shirt it was done using nitrogen at the "wart clinic".

Banned reason: Can’t stop having a pop at punters, on a punting forum, warned to many times now, no more!!

The Off Topic board here feels very much like a male version of MN...........and that's not a criticism :)
