I've been messed about a few times, you kind of accept it now, but this last one really took the piss! I can't believe I wasted so much time before I walked.
I had a trip to Swindon last week and decided to book a girl on a recommendation. She text me the postcode and then the flat number. So I'm stood outside her block, calling her on the intercom and all I can hear are muffled female voices. I call her on the phone and she says try again, still the same muffled voices. I try again whilst she's on the phone this time and she concedes it's not working and says 'stay there, I'll come down'. She's getting a bit frustrated now and so am I.
10 minutes later there's still no sign of her and she's not answering her mobile. I give her the benefit of the doubt as suspect she's had to put some clothes on to come down. Someone then comes to the ground floor door, it's not her, just someone leaving, but at least I'm in the block now.
I go up to the 3rd floor and knock on the door, no answer. Shit!, I've missed her. Maybe she took the stairs and I took the lift. I try downstairs again, she's not there. I try the door again, I can hear loud voices this time, it sounds like there's at least 2 girls in there. No answer. I try her mobile, no answer. I text her, 'I'm outside your door now', but get nothing back so I walk.
Just as I get back to my car I get a text, 'I'm ready now, are you at the door still?'. I go back to the block and luckily someone is leaving again. I go up to the 3rd floor and knock loudly, no answer. For a second time I walked, I've now wasted over half an hour!
I still can't figure out what went wrong. There was only one group of flats in the area, but several blocks in the development. I'm wondering if she sent the wrong flat number.
Plan B didn't answer her phone either, so it was game over for me that day
