I recently enjoyed a visit to the new 'Strawberry Fields' tourist attraction in Woolton, Liverpool, made famous by John Lennon's song.
Apart from the audio visual displays, I was impressed by the service in the café and shop, from the young folk with learning difficulties and other barriers to employment.
The training scheme provides work experience to enable the students to hopefully move onto paid work.
I've always been impressed by The Salvation Army for being one of the few religious organisations that regularly puts words into action by providing practical support, defending the vulnerable and fighting social injustice, and I never tire of listening to the famous 'Sally Quack' brass bands.
I've also been grateful many times for the support they provide in response to major emergencies in the city.
As I wander around the exhibition, I ponder that there's fewer of my generation around who grew up in Liverpool with The Beatles from their early days.
