Whenever I have read about a raid it is the brothel owner who gets nicked and sometimes the "maid", the police are not interested in any punters who happen to be present because they have done nothing wrong under the current laws.

I was present when Cynthia Payne's 'party place' was raided at what she named a 'bunk-up' night the evening before a party, I was in bed with two young ladies. They were not interested in me and taken aback when I expressed an interest in the welfare of the ladies. I was able to help them assert their needs as they were from out of town (Wales) and needed to spend the rest of the night at Cynthia's (alone) and my intervention made old bill see sense, rather than turf them onto the street. But that was many years ago,
