Last review was almost a year ago. It is good for us to know a girl is keeping up the same standards. If I see a year old review and can find nothing else I will definitely think she might be jaded now and no point going to visit her. So it is always good to get an up to date account.

It does also flag up that she's still there and consistent, although I would have just added a new post to the original review.

I get the part of adding up to date information. That’s fine and not my query really. I’m scratching my head to see why he can’t just add it on to his old review regardless if it’s an “old” review. To me, personally it doesn’t make sense. But if the forum helpers/mods etc is telling him that’s how he needs to do it (create a new review on the same girl) then so be it.

Nothing wrong with just adding an update to an old review, the latest post affects where the review appears in a search so it's currency would be reflected.

Adding a new review with details of itself is harmless if the punter doesn't appear to be touting.  However effectively saying "see my last review" isn't helpful in that it wastes people's time having to click about to find it.  Quote your previous text if you cba to write useful details again or an update on looks after a year if nothing else.  Plenty of possible readers who have no recollection of the previous review.

Ffs, every time someone gets caught out mentioning they've seen an SP and haven't reviewed, they get chewed out and then get ridiculed for the argument "well I've nothing to add that other reviews don't already cover".
Then someone provides current info, according to forum rules, and gets stick. No pleasing some of you lot at all.

Could you point out where this happens in this thread? There's a discussion on HOW a punter should review someone he's previously reviewed if there's no material difference in experience (note OP was perfectly happy with this) and a 10-year veteran sponger was called out.

Or were you just trigger happy?

Its the 2nd sentence in my quote - the one you've not highlighted as it happens - that pertains to this thread. Sometimes I type my stream of thought and I admit it can get a bit ass-about-face but in this case it seems pretty clear.

Are you now going to make me go through every other post I've read to find examples where people get called out for not reviewing SPs, and use the weak defense "well I've nothing to add that other reviews don't already cover"? 

And please don't roll in "where a sponger was called out" as if its some attribute I am against - far from it. The thing I took issue with was the shifting, inconsistent tide in what people want here. If only there was one definitive location with the etiquette we should all abide by. Oh, hang on, there is.

A new review thread can only be created once a service provider has agreed to a booking. A meeting does not need to occur, and money does not need to change hands. The only criteria are that she had accepted the initial booking. Members can post more than one review about an SP, but touting will result in a ban. Reviews are allowed up to 6 months ( for new members, this rule is currently relaxed to 12 months)after the event(positive or negative)

Ah I see your point. Things are always clearer when you are looking through your own glasses, aren't they? I assumed the other statement was relevant since, quite frankly, I struggled to see where ML got any stick. There was a debate about the approaches to take in this scenario that he seemed perfectly fine about. No-one said it wasn't a valid review; no-one accused him of touting; no-one accused him of being a fuckwit. Perhaps your definition of grief is different to mine.

That said, I can believe ML is shrugging his shoulders at how he could/should share feedback back on SPs he previously seen given the advice he's been given in the past but threads like this help to surface common sense approaches.

There should have been more details for it to be a valid review

If your posting a link to the old review, then it would have been the same to just add on to that, so your basically saying my new review is “read my old review”
