Turn up at the shop at the allotted time to find the shop locked up. Tried the doorbell, no response, but not sure if it actually worked, so then tried calling the number, no response. Started to walk, when my phone rang, with the shop phoning me back and I was told the door would be opened right away. Waited a couple of mins, but still no sign of life, so walked away. As I did so, the door was opened by a member of staff who looked a bit stressed. Was told to wait in the front as they were finishing up with a customer.
Eventually shown to the massage room and the massage started - 15 minutes after appointment time was supposed to start. Didn't recognise the masseuse and she gave a mediocre massage. She starts chatting and it transpires she was doing this as a favour to the owner, as the staff had left earlier due lack of appointments. She actually runs a mini-market and had to close her own shop.
About 30 mins in, she gets me to turn over and she tries to offer HE for £50. It was obvious price was not open to negotiation with her, so I declined and by this time I really wasn't in the mood. Few mins later she finishes the massage. I get dressed and then notice I've only been in the room for 40 mins.
Anyway paid the massage fee and left the shop with a vow never to return. I should have walked at the start, but hey ho.
I have noticed that since the shop changed hands, whilst extras are now available, the service was slowly going downhill. Typical Thai parlour - milk as much money as possible for giving as little as possible.
