Lotus Traditional Thai, Manchester M4 5JU.
External Link/Members OnlyLate evening, 60-minute massage booked via text. When I arrive, the front door is locked; I have to ring the doorbell to be let in (unsurprisingly, when many people are walking past, I don't like standing around like a lemon outside a massage place). Inside, there was some commotion in reception, with one worker mistaking me for someone else who hadn't arrived on time for the massage... I had to pull out my phone to show her the text exchange to prove I was a different booking and calm her down a little. "Ah yes, don't worry, he messaged me," says another receptionist. Pay £45 for 60 minutes and sit in reception waiting for masseuse to collect me.
The slim and attractive masseuse arrives, walks me to my room, and then leaves the room. So, FDM, I completely undress and wait for my companion. When she returns to the room, she drapes a towel over me. Damn.
60 minutes of what appeared to be an inexperienced massage followed. Comparable to receiving a haircut from an apprentice barber. Although service was made with great care, it was still a laborious experience.
I turn over and she reapplies the towel which drastically reduces the possibility of HE. I was mentally frustrated because I'd just paid full price for a trainee massage. She makes a couple of insinuating remarks, to which I respond positively, but nothing happens.
Massage eventually comes to an end. Disappointed, I get up, change my clothes, and leave.
As I walk through reception, the nice receptionist who booked me in earlier asks, "Good massage?" "Meh, yeah," I say. (I just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible).
She then says, "She don't do the
hand gesture."
I'm wondering if I've missed something...
"No, sigh."
Receptionist looks at her watch and says, "Ha, it's all right, she's new and doesn't know how to ask. Do you want it? I need to get out of here quickly."
The receptionist escorted me back into the massage room. She removes her coat. A great body to go with a very attractive face. When I ask how much she charges, she says hand relief is £30. Time is of the essence, I hand over cash without discussion.
HR massage that is brief and to the point, but masterfully delivered.
"Book in with me personally and I do long massage for you, my name is Cream," she said.
I would indeed book in with her personally for a long massage. Didn't have the chance as was in Manchester for work.
I laugh; she laughs; it is a happy ending after all! I skip off happily into the Manchester night.
TLDR: Lotus Thai, book in with ‘Cream’.
*Decided on Neutral bc the experience was generally shite, except for ending, will update with fresh review if see Cream again for long massage
