Personally I would save that sort of comment for a Savile-like figure, not a politician I disagreed with.
It says more to me about the character of the person making the comment than it does about the deceased.
Perhaps I was referring to 'a Savile-like figure' ?
Many on here have short memories and while he was alive Savile was adored by many, often older women.
While quite a few had their suspicions and he was a creepy character, it was only after his death that it all came out.
Perhaps there are similar high profile public figures, still alive, that fall into that bracket. I can think of a couple.
