Hello, I'm looking at booking someone for the first time from External Link/Members Only, however they are asking for a £30 deposit (first time I've been asked for one).

Is this normal for them, am I about to be ripped off?

Also, I assume I just pay £30 less when I arrive?

They ask for £30 by bank transfer I think if you got less than 10 aw feedbacks.

Yes , you will be fine. Just comes off the total to pay on the booking.
After that you will be good to book , as they know you.

Farrah … the best punts I have ever had , over 23 years, all my boxes ticked and nobody has got the magical 10/10 apart from The Goddess! The duo with her and Far From Average just before Covid at £200 for the hour seems a long gone bargain now.

Not sure if we are allowed review an entire business, up to the mods I guess, but I think it needs to be said so other people know, so here goes:

I've been trying to book one of the girls in advance for the weekend through External Link/Members Only. Initially I rang, they hung up, text me a generic rota to which I responded to via text.

Initially they responded quickly once I said what/who I wanted, then when I started to ask specifics like "does the GFE come with dfk and owo?" I was just told to google it. Not very helpful.

Then I requested an outfit to which I was told no with no other options, and that I needed to pay a £30 deposit. I said sure, then... radio silence. I sent a few more texts asking, "okay sure" and "is it £30 now and £120 when I arrive?" to see if they were just busy, still nothing. I wasn't pestering, I left plenty of time to respond between my texts and I just got blanked.

I'm a bit pissed off to be frank, as I wanted to get this booked in advanced as I'm visiting Cardiff over the weekend.

Have a look on AW, not sure who you wanted to see but a couple of them have numbers listed on profiles.
Can be far easier booking them that way

I find it best to WhatsApp them and they are pretty good once they know you. I understand this may take time. I have experienced that most agencies once they know you are reasonably good  but you still have to multiple message etc until they sort you out.
You still have a few days to go and things may fall into place

I don't think so, also it doesn't sound like you managed to get as far as a confirmed booking.  From the rules (https://www.ukpunting.com/index.php?topic=252680.0):

A new review thread can only be created once a service provider has agreed to a booking. A meeting does not need to occur, and money does not need to change hands. The only criteria are that she had accepted the initial booking. Members can post more than one review about an SP, but touting will result in a ban. Reviews are allowed up to 6 months ( for new members, this rule is currently relaxed to 12 months)after the event(positive or negative)
Only one sex worker can be the subject of a review, not a whole agency/establishment/ brothel. The exception is sex parties, duos etc. and massage establishments where providers do not have names.
Reviews must contain a link, contact details or address (if publicized by the service provider).
No abbreviations of establishments in the title of a review.

It's fairly well known that Portfolio's comms are a bit shit but I'm not sure this meets the criteria for  a review.

Who were you hoping to see?  If the SP also has an AW profile it's sometimes best to contact via there.  Some of the girls are known to do their own comms.

Portfolio comms are hit and miss and well discussed previously but there’s more the OP could have done in my view.

A simple structured message could have nipped the need for multiple follow up messages to be sent.

Initial contact via WhatsApp saying I would like to the this SP, at this time, to include these services and ideally dressed in this outfit if possible. 

Look at AW to see if the SP has a profile there.  If all else fails, look at Fallen Angels Agency as their comms are excellent.

You reviewing any of these indies in Cardiff you have seen mate? I see your last one was two years ago. All intel is good

I made a booking direct with Natalia using adultwork initially for comms. Because I had little feedback she requested a £30 deposit which I paid and the renaming £130 outcall 1 hour fee was paid when Natalia arrived at my hotel. It was a very short notice booking and I had a great time with Natalia - have reviewed.

did i say i'd seen any? i just said there were plenty to choose from. circumstance and medical reasons have limited my ability to play. if i had anything to review, i would.  also, if you'd noticed, i don't like to punt too close to home.

Officially they only do this for new punters.

If you've seen them before and got asked, it was likely a mistake.
