Just a quick heads up to fellow members who may have or may be thinking of punting with this SP. I punted her a long while ago but have recently started getting random WhatsApp and text messages from her asking if I want some fun, or how I am, etc. I doubt I'm singularly memorable to any SP so would advise caution if you're not using a punting phone, which luckily I am.

Before anyone asks, there's no review as said punt took place prior to me joining up to this site and secondly, after the abuse I got for my honest opinion in my first review I'm not in a hurry to repeat the experience.

Hope the above helps though,

Something tells me they maybe on your case again!

She's definitely got form for this. I've had the same type of texts a few times. Blocked her number just so I don't get tempted to go back when desperate because she's crap!

That was 6 years ago under the old regime, there's been new owners for several years so you have no excuse for not posting any reviews since the change.

Looking at your review you were criticized for being fluffy and not factual, though I have to say calling it abuse is a bit OTT.

If you have no intention of posting reviews there's no point in you being here.

In light of what you have said and when I start punting again, I will start to post reviews. Unfortunately  poor health and a resulting lack of punting tokens has meant an enforced hiatus. Hopefully this will end sooner rather than later as I have an itch that desperately needs scratching .

There are various UKP'ers who have been active reviewers on here
Who have a change of circumstances
Unfortunately health problems can arise
I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy
The UKP'ers haven't exactly shouted about whatever it is
However over a period of time perhaps they share in some small way whatever it is
As in them not being able to do reviews
The response is supportive
A problem shared, albeit briefly online
Their contribution is valued + respected & hopefully they can enjoy reminiscing on happier punting times being on here

For these UKP'ers its a bit like winning The Masters
Always invited to play & if they unfortunately cant make the group making teeing off a warm welcome awaits to still be a part of the event

You on the other hand have managed one tee off i.e. review
Which was so useless it failed to get past the lady's tee

As for punting tokens, that old chesnut
Like one R&T for 30 + 20 isn't achievable

In light of what I have said you have thought up these excuses, you could have said all of this in your OP but chose to say that you have no intention of reviewing, you've used the site often enough to notice the change in attitude.

In light of the comments that have followed  my last reply, regarding my health, I don't see that much has changed in relation to the mindset of members. The accusation that I am using it as an excuse is extremely insulting. I had no reason to mention it, unless it was a genuine reason for a lack of activity on the punting front. But I suppose its easier to be insulting and revert to type as was the pack mentality I witnessed previously. So, here's something else for you to use to beat me with, I actually had leukaemia, underwent a bone marrow transplant and had an extensive course of chemotherapy.
As for stating that I never intended to do any reviews, I merely suggested that I was reluctant to do so after my experience last time. I did not state that it was my intention to never contribute ever again, this was an assumption on someone else's part.

I am sorry to read that. I hope you are on the mend. A reminder that we all have other more important stuff going on in our lives away from this site. Keep your chin up.

You stated back in 2018 (no I haven't got anything better to do), whilst looking for advice on another WG, that because of the hard time you were given in your first review you hadn't done another. Reads more like a policy to me.
Most people, me included, have received criticism on here, sometimes more than once. You can either suck it up and stay engaged, or you can sulk.
I hope your cancer is, or will soon be in remission. You could be bothered to make your post that started this thread, so bother to join in when you start punting again.

Sorry to hear of your illness. But we all have crosses to bear. I wish you well in your recovery but it doesn’t change the fact that your attitude on here is not great. This site HAS changed an awful lot for the better and if you can’t see that, then that’s your issue, not ukp nor the membership.

And in doing so i was hoping it would be a constructive contribution to the forum that would be of help to other members. I hope that when I'm fighting fit that I'll be able to provide some more interesting reading material. And, not reviews of various water logged greens or tees I've struggled to get passed 😂

Dusty phone, I think. I tried to arrange a meet with her several months ago but she was unavailable. Got an unsolicited message last week saying she was available. Got another today. Thankfully, I've got a punting phone but her number's blocked now.

Offline Night king

She texted me couple months ago now, not had anything again, always use punting phone,

No pack mentality, the issue I have is this sentence, - "Before anyone asks, there's no review as said punt took place prior to me joining up to this site and secondly, after the abuse I got for my honest opinion in my first review I'm not in a hurry to repeat the experience."

Replace the highlighted part with the fact you had been ill so unable to punt and you would have got sympathy but by trying to blame other members for so called abuse for not reviewing would always get the reaction you did.

You were not abused on your review thread, you were criticized so trying to pass the buck onto other members is out of order.
