I've been to Denmark and Lithuania, but want to complete the Scandinavian/Baltic nations. In relation to Norway, has anybody been to Fredrikstad, supposed to be a charming old town surrounded by lovely scenery.

All answers welcome and if not Fredrikstad, where else in Norway would you recommend, preferably within travelling distance of Oslo.
