I've been punting since my late 20s, I'm in my 40s now so a good many years. Obviously AW still relatively new, used to use newspapers and magazines. I've only used agencies 5 times in all my years.
I was wondering If you prefer booking girls with a agency or websites? Any bad stories of girls through agencies? I'm finding a lot of girls online too good to be true.

Agencies can be just as dodgy as A/W, as ever do your research on here to locate recommended WGs by punters you find credible, or take a risk and be ready to walk if necessary.

I personally dont punt through Agencies nowadays because in London most simply charge too much for my liking and dont offer me anything i cant get cheaper through A/W or a Parlour.

I'm not very internet savvy so it's taken me a while to get the hang of AW and all you hear about is fakes or scams. I used an agency in London 5 years back and I've never been charged so much in my life! I wish I'd just gone to soho.

Agree with Smiths: for London, agencies are overpriced (mostly).

Elsewhere: advantages of agency (mostly) easier to book, plan B is offered by them, generally young and pretty. If it goes wrong agency might try to make it right.
Disadvantage: Might not be able to talk to the actual girl, more have poor DFK, more don't offer OWO RO.  Never heard of agency girl offering alevels, but I guess everything exists out there. So if you *must* have these services you need to still do research separatly (i.e. here). 
Net: helpful when in a hurry/lazy/know a girl you trust. In some locations, it is a great choice.

So on the flip side, indy can sometimes offer better value for money, but there is greater risk.  In some places the best indy girls charge the same as agency.  I have no problem with this - they personally get more per hour, but same cost to me so good for them.

I end up using both (plus parties and brothels) - some pathetic drive to explore new girls I suppose.

I've only booked once through an agency, cost me £150 for one hour. The girl was 2 sizes bigger than on the website, kissing was more like pecking and OWO was refused, put me right off. Since then I've refused to book through £150+ agencies, too expensive.

Firm supporter of agencies for me. Many reasons for this and I constantly think of more benefits every now and again.

But some off the top of my head.

1. You know the girl is real - one of the main problems with independents is it could be a PG scammer and no girl even exists.
2. Short notice bookings. I usually phone and see the girl within the hour or two every time
3. Safer for me - I base this on the many horror stories of girls getting private info of punters during the booking stages such as your phone number or email and other personal details during the booking. Read the infoseeker thread for a recent example of this. Plus no chance of my name and phone number popping on Saafe's timewaster list all because I was 5 mins late for my booking
4. A fall back if something goes wrong - personally the two big agencies in Newcastle, you have a bad punt you get a discount off your next. Try getting that off an independent
5. Choice and easy to see availability - you could class an agency as a database of girls available that day. As on Adultwork you need to phone or email saying "are you available today" and whatnot. An agency says these girls are working today and this is there times.

The drawbacks are agencies will usually put multiple girls in the same place so there is a chance of a raid (but you are not breaking the law anyway so as I am single I class that as not that big of a worry for me). And you cannot speak to the girl to agree services so things like A-Levels are way harder to get via an agency. Plus you risk the agency just lying to you to get you in the room.

I don`t think that there are any `proper` agencies in my area anyway; there are a few parlours, but I don`t think that is what the op meant, otherwise there are a few co-operatives of two or three girls working as business partnerships, but the girls all advertise separately as well on AW so there`s no difference

I'm not sure if you mean you're relatively new to AW or that AW is relatively new?  My 'seeking services' profile is over ten years old so, using some rough mathematics, I reckon that's about half the time you've been punting.

Have used agencies as well but in my humble view there's no great difference between them and AW. Both can have fake pics and provide poor quality punts and both can provide genuine profiles and great punts. You pays your money etc. etc.

To be honest, here. It used to be a local agency, and then I discovered AdultWork and would only gamble based on feedback. It doesn’t matter how good-looking the girl is in the pictures: if she has no reviews I won’t risk it.

I agree that Adultwork is like a minefield but some agencies will also do bait and switch ----------- especially when no face picture is shown.

A few years ago I used to phone a local agency (pimp) and he would tell me what I wanted to hear as long as he secured a booking.

On one occasion he told me he was sending me a Dutch girl, when she arrived she had a cockney accent.

Seriously though.
Accepting photos like this is like turning the clock back 25 years when we had to rely on newspaper adverts or phone box cards, I don't blame the girls, I blame the punters who book them.

As when any of the agencies in the region start taking the mick, we all are vocal about it here on the forum. They then do an immense apologetic backtrack on it and promise to not do it again. And then things are fine until effectively things slowly go back to that again. So what happens, we then complain again on the forums, they come along again promising to not do it again and again rinse repeat, rinse repeat occurs.

It may sound like a cumbersome never decreasing circle but it seems to work.

Without this forum - and obviously all the people on it - however I get the feeling the agencies in the north east would take the mick and just not care one iota about doing it.

You can bet your life it was a scam, in 35 years of punting I have never met a genuine Swedish girl.

Yes you guys do a good job in the North East trying to keep Agencies in order. London is an entirely different kettle of fish though of course. Far more businessmen including from abroad with money to burn, and punters in general i would assume and vastly more Agencies many who have good reputations on here charging more than in your area. Just shows the regional variations in punting.

Depends what your definition of a proper Agency is. In reality an Agency can just be one person with a mobile and laptop. For a third or more of a WGs fees its no doubt a good earner for some, though by controlling prostitutes for gain they are of course breaking the law.

You know the agency is genuine the same as you know a girl is...because it says so in UKP.  If no one here has ever tried, are the odds good?  Else you are TOFTT and please report back and let us know.

Fair enough but I have never seen a review from an escort agency in the West Midlands
