I'm just looking for some advice around getting tested.

When booking with Sandyford it doesn't seem to ask for addresses and there are boxes to tick that say whether to share info with GPs.

My questions is, can I make an appointment under a false name without any issues? Surely the only thing I need to give is a mobile number so I can receive results?

Just use your correct details as may be issues re what medication suits you.  Don't tick the box to let your GP know if you are that bothered.  They are bound by medical disclosure laws mind.

I have always used a false name, and birthday that I can remember, and I use my punting phone for results. I always give the same false name and details at all clinics.

And this is at the Sandyford clinic? They never ask for your address GP name etc when you’re there?

If it’s just a test it’ll be pretty quick and not much conversation. Especially since Covid precautions are still in place as far as I know. Maybe a few general health questions before they take some blood but nothing as deep as your GP details or anything.

I don't think you read my post right, I never mentioned address or GP name. I go to various clinics, they only ask for name and contact No. I have only been to Sandyford once and it took too long, it was walk in at the time. I keep the same false name, birthday, and No, so as it shows the same on their computer.

What are the quickest alternatives to sandyford? They were very slow prior to covid and want somewhere to get tested when I go for a few punts soon

One of the quickest private options for testing is Superdrug (book online, not in all their shops) and you get it looked over by one of the GPs that work for them

Downsides is you pay *PER* test for each STD so chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis etc.
It really adds up to do a full screen this way but it is quick and relatively inexpensive!

Then you’ve also got other private healthcare offerings for full screen (for £££) such as
External Link/Members Only

You also can pick up at home test kits from your GP practice but not everyone is going to like that option if married maybe, I understand that

I used better to know during the Covid years when the sandyford was shut.
You’ll get an appointment quicker, but the results took longer to come thru, altho that may be just coz of the times I was there.
It’s no exactly cheap tho, at least the price of a decent hour booking iirc.
