Author Topic: Number2Go and other fake mobile number apps  (Read 722 times)

Just wondered if you've had any experience using these.

I just downloaded Number2Go and added some credit. I was hopeful that it would just be added to my mobile bill but it looks like it will show on my bank statement FFS.

Anyway, I tried to send a message to a WG and got a notification about 'inappropriate content' and that the message would not be sent.

However, it looks like it went through as I got a reply from the WG. I send another text to confirm services but she hasn't replied so I'm wondering whether or not this one got blocked.

Anyway, after that, my phone (via the app) started ringing! It was from a London number so I'm wondering if it's the app company or someone contacting me? Obviously I didn't answer.

IIRC there was another thread discussing using a service called Hush - it was positively recommended. Not sure if it's Android only or IOS, or both.

Not sure why you wouldn't answer your phone if the app rings?
Could have been the SP you texted, what's this issue if it was the app company, you're not doing anything illegal?

Why did you think it would bill on your phone bill, it's an app - depending on the FAQ it bills through the Google Play Store or Apple App store.  External Link/Members Only

Thanks.

It brought up my bank card details (they're saved by my phone) when charging me so it looked like it was being charged to my card.

I use cash to but a Google play store voucher.
Using that card -> add to play store balance

Download Vyke.

Get a UK nuber for a month for around £4.
But some call credit , guess ,its around £1.39.

All payments go from play store balance - and you get an email about the transaction on gmail - make sure to delete that email.

No trace of play store purchase ( as via cash)
Rest all transactions are embedded in your play store settings.

I have found this to work for me - using apps.
Else, buy a sim from cash.

Think you mean hushed. Available on both formats. Pretty simple to use though some sites wont recognise the temp numbers they dish out
