I have puzzled about this myself. Leaving aside the unworthy thought that perhaps the girls concerned don't understand English, I can only imagine that some think "bareback" means unprotected penetrative intercourse, and "unprotected sex" means an uncovered blowjob.
Presumably the folk at Adultwork think there is a difference; otherwise why would they put both terms down? Perhaps we need an official AW definition!

Unprotected - possibly includes OWO and even maybe a little frottage but with no bodily fluid releases internally!!
