Went to thailand with a few friends recently, went out to Bangla Road, patong, phuket.

I had gone previously a few days before but was scared to approach, as the people I was with were a bit homphobic. Loads of guessing and no one wanted to be caught talking to a lady boy.

Agree that massage shop ladies were generally of poor  quality but did manage to find a few gems. I used both Thaifriendly and WeChat and found both good at getting freelance ladies. Generally the starting price was 2000 - you could negotiate but I only did a little and all but one gave a really good service.
I didn't find the quality in massage shops in Pattaya any better nor in Bangkok tbh. Freelance is the way to go everytime if you can accommodate!

I've been to Patong twice (2x full weeks) and Pattaya once (only 3 days). Overall I prefer Patong as you get both the sex/massage and the holiday experience as theirs plenty to do in patong. I went 4 and 8 years ago..in short.

-Both times were amazing for me...
-At least 3 times a day, mix of escort sex or massage with lots of extras (usually sex included in massage).

i agree with you Bangman that Pantong is better - in the sense that it has both what guys go to Thailand for and a great beach and has other more "normal" holiday things to do.

No, you don't NEED Thaifriendly or wechat etc but it gives other options and adds to your choice of freelance - but you can still pick up ladies just by eye contact in a bar or in the street. Wechat is free and i just used the free version of Thaifriendly which was good enough. But it is worth getting Line as almost all ladies there used it (and not WhatsApp) - again a free App.

Prices have increases since you were there Bangman - the exchange rate has changed significantly and now you are lucky to get 40 to the £.  Short time is now at a standard 2000 (as a starting price ) and some times 2500 but yes you can negotiate to some extent. However i think there is a correlation between the harder you negotiate and lowering of the quality of service. My approach was - why haggle too hard over 500 Bhat (about £13 or £14)? why not make her very happy and she made me very happy. I only had one poor/not so good punt in about 25 punts - the other 24 were really great - including several overnights (but at 3000).

Lastly, yes of course Thailand still has many pretty girls but not so many of those at formal massage shops.

I can't comment on 4 years ago, but from the feedback I was getting from people that have travelled thailand for sex, they said the women were better in pattaya, I had a great holiday though, my main aim weren't for sex as I was with friends.

obviously personal choices in what you like come into play when someone says "the women are better" etc. Undoubtedly, Pattaya is much bigger than Patong so the pool to choose from is much bigger - but personally (based on my experience in the last couple of weeks) I would not say they were better (or worse).

My first time was also with friends ands it's hard to do things together as you need to agree on days plans and did a little bit if punting.

I paid 2,000 to the girl each time, after negotiating them down from around 4,000. I agree that I paid too much. But I was restricted on time for personal reasons, so I had few options. It is good to know what other people have paid.
