She's just died at the age of 81. A real fashion icon and of course famously involved with a chap called Malcolm McLaren. A trip down the Kings Road anyone?

She certainly did. I interviewed her once - a natural raconteur, as was Malcolm.

She gave a lot to the industry, and the recognition came quite late. There are too few agent provocateurs in the fashion world, and those that are, are often British.

Thanks for the link. I notice the article was written by Julie Burchill (who has penned some odious crap in her time), nevertheless an interesting read and makes me view Westwood in a slightly different light. Will still attempt to watch the upcoming documentary to gain a better overall perspective.
