Sheffield punting trip late 2022:
It was time to hit Sheffield to see my steel city G. I call him the “Forgemaster” because he smashes hard and with precision and should be considered a national strategic asset for his punting prowess in my opinion. In his words he has “banged so many dollas” on bargain steel city punts that, “I couldav ‘ad an ‘ole street of ‘ouses up ‘ere lad”.
The man is a Fucking legend.
I had not been to Shef since before the COVID, so I was intrigued to see how things had developed.
In short its bounced back nicely, only two losses:
1: Spearming Rhino strip club
2: La Chambre swingers club
The background to Sheffield:
If you are a cosseted Southern panzie like me, you notice immediately that Sheffield is a gutsy fucking city, and if you go looking for a problem it will find you quickly and violently. That said, overall its not a terrible place, but do proceed with caution in both parts of the city centre, The Wicker near to paradise, and also around Attercliff where a lot of the action is located.
The city is interesting for a number of reasons – it is post-industrial broken Britian but still has a very proud industrial base, if not what it used to be, is still important to the city. Education is massive, and there is the entire international student/staff side to it very noticeable in the city centre. Then there are the locals – the local middleclass folk, desperately trying to avoid either rubbing shoulders with, or becoming, part of the local proletariat. In the parlours and the cat houses you will overwhelmingly by crossing paths with the lower end of Sheffield society, I didn’t have any problems but its worth being aware of and to proceed with caution.
Strip clubs:
There used to be a “Spearmint Rhino” that had top notch witty Northern lasses you could have a good crack. However, after a relentless smear campaign by local “feminists” and the lockdowns killed the place. Some of the disputes over this place got really nasty - see links below, however the same voices say nothing about Sheffields numerous fuck shops which I find strange as they are hardly hidden.
No other options locally to warm up or cool down at the end of the night. A real shame as I love a good strippy.

The closest thing to a “strip” club is the well known local brothel “Paradise” studios. As a number of contributors here have noted, South Yorks police freely allow very well organised, and in the case of paradise I think purposely built, brothels to open and run freely and have done so for decades. It is perhaps the most liberal prostitution regime in Blighty. Interestingly none of the “feminists” so active in opposition to the city’s one strip club seem to notice nor kick up a fuss about the fuck shops, which is interesting.
Paradise is the closest thing I have seen to a German FKK club in the UK, but without food or the “wellness” stuff. On the nights I went around 10pm, there are 10-12 girls in attendance – couple of white English girls, a couple of black girls and the rest Romanians. £10 to get in, cheap drinks at a bar, £30 for 15 minutes and I think £50 or £60 for 30 minutes. While there are some stunners, the quality is not amazing. The standard of service is very “Soho walk up” in a bad way – robotic, functional, but uninspiring. The place also attracts a lot of local wild young bucks – as my local connect told me it can get a bit moody later in the day as it attracts a lot of local wanabe scarface types. The kind of place where you wouldn’t want to look too much at someone in case they chuck it. Overall it’s a Sheffield institution, and worth a visit, but manage your expectations. I had a punt with a slim black girls in her 30s with fake boobs who was friendly enough but spoke a bit too much.
Attercliff Massage places:
The long standing redlight district of Sheffield can be found in Attercliff. Its very much a day time shout, with most of the places closing before the sun goes down.
NB: city sauna, subject of the documentary a very British brothel has not closed but has relocated. I did not visit.
Diplomat has a space where you can have a tea and coffee and chocolate bars complimentary on the house and just sit and shoot the shit. Felt weird as a concept and I wasn’t into the birds presents (two skinny Romanian girls) and it was my first stop that day so I fucked off.
I punted in Athena and Honeypot.
Athena: A skinny, pale, tall local girl who was very good, OWO, chatty, very good service. Something like £40 for a quickie.
Honeypot: The place is hidden, dosnt have a sign like the other but the door is propped open on the corner of Atterclif and Worksop Roads. Let in, a local lively MILF was the only available, called “Melissa”. £40 for 15 minutes “GFE” – i.e. OWO. From the moment she gently stroked my balls I knew she was going to be excellent and I asked to extend to 30 minutes for £60 but she had someone coming. Rated the honesty.
