Hi everyone I have not punted for a long time due to a seriously illness condition and haven't been able to manage to do much because of it.

I have been having periods of time where I have felt better and want to arrange someone to go see this week but the chip on my card has failed and I can't get cash out.

Does anyone know of a SP or massage place that accepts contactless payment.

No. But have paid a few by bank transfer. I paid one recently after i had left the lady's apartment - quite flattering that she trusted me.

if your bank is one of the mainstream banks (lloyds, Natwest, Barclays etc) you can go to one of their branches taking ID with you (driving licence etc) and they will allow you to draw cash out. Many Post offices also will do that on behalf of a number of major banks.

Edit - thinking about it, the post office may have a problem doing it if the chip cannot be read - so a bank branch is your best bet. Some banks also have an emergency cash facility for occasions where the card is lost or where the chip is not being read - they give you a code which you enter into a cash machine for a one off cash withdrawal.

Get a new card?  It only takes a few days to replace.

a lot of banks also do cash withdrawls using their banking app and an atm machine. The app gives you a code to use on and cash machine in their network.

Chip on card is for payment instores, so have you tried to get cash out, as it the stripe on your card, that the atm reads

Yana and her mum take card payments in Southampton and one of the Cosham shops take card. Ask the question when you make an enquiry might help you

Just my 2p - don't use a card like you using your real name, most WG are not 100% stable I've found and your only leaving your self open to a risk of blackmail
