Rookie Error Almost

As the thread title suggests I almost made the stupidest error recently.

Arrived at location, parked up and got the "ready" text.
Got out of the car and walked to the door, just about to press the buzzer and realized I didn't have any money on me 😳
Back to the car and got it out of my wallet then returned. Luckily I had not parked too far away. Would have felt a right idiot walking into the venue with no cash on me.🫣

I only ever take the correct money plus a little extra and my car keys into a punt and always leave my civvie phone and wallet in the car.

I surprised myself as I consider myself to now be a fairly experienced punter to get so far without checking.

I've had a similar situation, but it wasn't a 'first timer' mistake ...!

I'd booked to go see someone in London, and when I get the postcode details the best option was to go there on the underground. Actually, I was always going to go on the underground, but the punt location made me choose one particular line over another. Drive to the station, found a street somewhere to park nearby, and walked to the station. I start searching for my Oyster card which is in my wallet, when I discover I've forgotten to bring my wallet with me!
Back to the car, and drive back home again. Get caught in bad traffic, I decide to call the SP to let her know I will be late, or to cancel; just as I dial the number my phone-battery goes flat!

When I eventually get home I give the phone a quick charge, phone the SP and tell her I'm stuck on the M4 traffic and will have to cancel. She understands and is quite okay with it.
I never did get to see her  (so please don't badger me for a review!)

I have only seen a few wgs outside of adultwork. I did see one that I contacted on Twatter, it was one of the rare times that I paid a deposit, but thats another story.

Anyhow the punt was in Basingstoke and as I moved along the ring road, I realised I had forgotten the readies. Panic took over and I had to get off the ring road and find an ATM. I dont find Basingstoke the easiest of towns to negotiate and I was really down to the wire when I found Tesco Express, then drove like mad back to the wgs address.

It is hard to stand at the door and look casual when the wg opens the door and your heart is hammering in your chest.

Turned up to see a SP I had seen several times. No wallet.
I was staying at a mates in the West End at the time and forgot it when I changed clothes to go out.
Like I said. I had seen her a few times and she was super cool about it. I paid double the next visit.

Saw Tracy ( Hungarian girl Wimbledon………have I remembered her name right) yonks back. Walked out without paying.
She was also great. I just paid her when I saw her again nearly three weeks later.

Not quite the same, but in the heat of moment I've agreed to a surprisingly expensive extra, thinking I've got enough money in my pocket, forgetting I'd bought a coffee round the corner as I was a bit early.

I actually did walk away without paying once, didn't realise until i was halfway home. I stopped the car and messaged her offering to head back and pay her. To her credit, she said i could give it her next time, which i duly did. I was surprised it didn't happen more often, as i don't ever remember her actually handling the money during the punt, or checking it. She used to say 'just leave it on the side'. She was a gorgeous girl, retired at the top of her game, and is sadly missed in central Birmingham.

Funnily enough. I enquired about something with a SP on AW. She messaged back telling me to WhatsApp her and she would give me what I had asked for. She put her mobile number down in the message.
I added her to my contacts using the number she gave me but thought it strange it came up on WhatsApp with no profile pic etc.

When I checked her number on her AW profile. She had got two numbers the wrong way round. 😂

Aaah yes, the old "I haven't got any money on me" trick. I use this when I go to the pub or restaurant

I went to see a regular, got out of the car walked up to the front door of the flats, reached for my money and it wasn't there. I panicked ran back to the car and as I was walking back I saw there was 100 quid in the middle of the road. Miracle it didn't blow away or that no one took it.

Yep I have done that once. Like you it was a WG who knew me and realised it was just a mistake. Actually quite nice that the meeting was so relaxed payment was briefly forgotten.

Most of the time yes. But not always.
I have seen a couple of ladys who were more interested to snog me and get the meet started and didn't check the monies I had left on a chest of drawer or who only started to approach the subject once my balls had been properly emptied

One time I got off at my usual train station which was a pleasant 20 minute stroll to a regular’s flat. I had planned to use one of the usual 3 cash machines en-route. The two at the bank were gone as it had closed down, and the other in a shop was out of order. Big detour, 10 mins late!! Escort was ok as I kept her informed, but now cash in pocket a day befire!!

I always hand money over first unless it’s my regular or her friend  she doesn’t ask upfront for money so they have it as we are chatting after the deeds done while getting changed,also sent the money while I’m walking up to my regulars place sometimes I transfer it to her there and then or after session if I’ve no cash on me.

I did just the reverse several years ago. Would normally attend with just the right sum in my wallet and take the wad out without undignified counting to pay the SP. Did this once having forgotten that i had meanwhile topped up at the ATM.

On return home I texted her via AW .No problem; amicably agreed to settle at next meeting.

done this exact same thing years ago. She probably thought I weren't coming back. To make it worse it was a hotel booking so had to go past the dreaded reception twice.

I also rung the wrong flat number before where the girl was working from a block of flats but there was 4 identical buildings in the street. Had some bloke shout "Hello". I scarpered quick time when I realised

Just a tip from my bank, Nat West, although I'm sure similar would be available from other banks, for those who travel without wallets etc.

If you have you civvie phone on you with your banking app, you can get cash for up to £130 without your card. They send a code to your phone which you have to type into the atm.

Is very useful.

Nat west is their own, or tesco atms within 3 hours of making the request.

Setting off for my then-usual 4 hours with my Regular, I got off my first bus outside a branch of Barclay's Bank, where I was going to withdraw the maximum possible £300 from the ATM. (My bank closed its branch in my small - pop. about 30,000 - town some months previously.)

Despite having clocked a couple of dodgy characters loitering around, I didn't take enough care putting my cash in my pocket before going on to the next bus - using my Pensioner's bus pass - going to a nearby railway station for the main part of my journey across the Pennines. It was only when I went to get my train ticket that I realised that I'd had my pocket picked! (Probably by the dodgy characters I'd seen earlier.)

Of course I rang my Regular to say I'd have to postpone my visit. She assured me that my credit was good with her - cynics will have noted that she would have struggled to have replaced the guaranteed sum she'd eventually get - and that I could pay her for that day's activity ahead of the following month's meeting.

An early reg of mine, when chatting, I asked if she ever had problems with nonpayment.
It turned out a week prior a new client came in and immediately asked to use the bathroom, she smelled a rat and asked straight away for the payment, but he said he couldn't wait. on coming out he went to go to bedroom she asked again. He patted his pockets and said he left his wallet in the car and told him to go get it.  He was never seen again.

Yes me too, cash on side and enough petrol in car the day before.
One of the few good things about getting older is I don't get the " I need a punt within the next 3hrs or I'm gonna die !! " feeling anymore
- this makes rudimentary planning possible..

Had to drive home with a hard on as I couldn't get the flat number.

Thankfully she gave me a second chance and I visited her several times after that.
