Ho Chi Minh/Cambodia trip

I have a few days in Ho Chi Minh in January followed by time in Cambodia (Phnom Penh and Siem Reap). Does anyone have any recent experience of punting in either. I'll be in top end hotels so would need to play elsewhere. Are the massage parlours safe and would I be likely to get full sex or just HE? Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks for the warning about Cambodia, looks like I'll have to keep my trousers zipped there. I assume the remark "full service even ao" refers to Ho Chi Minh. Apologies if I'm being incredibly thick, but what do you mean by "even ao"?

Bollocks. If you are a seasoned traveller Cambodia’s fine though a bit wild. Siem Reap is a beautiful small city and a tourist destination on account of Angkor Wat (which really is worth spending a day or two exploring; it’s enormous and awesome). You need to follow your nose for p4p but not hard to find, easy to get overnighters. A lot of massage places are simply massage though, quite open to view by several customers but the occasional one has private rooms. Easier to look for straight FS or company. Perfectly safe.

Phnom Penh is different. Not as wild as it used to be but many opportunities and is rather overcrowded. You can get scammed more easily than in SReap. The history (an hour at the museum) will likely make you weep, it’s that horrific, undeserved, and most people are unaware of the scale of the damage done by the west. Crossing a busy road in rush hour can be an art. My one tip for safety is don’t underestimate Cambodians and remember you are a guest in their country. If you go to the famous Heart of Darkness bar, don’t go calling the shots, raising your voice or getting into an altercation.

For either place, staying in posh hotels is sadly a bit of a waste, though you will get a nice taste of beautiful Cambodian culture. You can try going back to her place (SReap) or use the in-house knock shops.

I was recently in VN, have you been before? Google taxis from the airport, get the wrong one and they will rip you off.

Vietnam is difficult and expensive unless you fall lucky which is possible.

You will get lots of attention in district 1 on Phạm Ngũ Lão street (backpackers area). Full of loud bars & clubs etc. But generally a tourist trap.

WeChat is good but can be difficult to register nowadays.

There's plenty of spas around the backpackers area in D1, Little Japan is still going strong and well worth a walk (try around 5pm onwards) around although not cheap
I was lucky and met a regular girl on WeChat,  only met after her work but I go to her place, no rush, she often gets 2 shots out of me for 1M vnd. She has no Profile photo and I just asked for a video call after chatting which she was happy to do. Real girls will normally be ok with a VC.

Zalo is used in VN and is as popular as WhatsApp , but the who is nearby feature is disabled in Saigon.

Telegram is also popular in Vietnam and has a whose nearby feature. It also shows local groups offering many things but I assume most aren't real girls but I don't know.

Hot tocs are a great option, try D1 Nguyen Phi Khanh (NPK) long row of BJ bars, very cheap. No problem walking in and out of then. Benny's is the famous one not far from this area but I've only looked in.

As you are only in Saigon for a couple of days I would use hot tocs and massage places mentioned on SMF.

Thanks for the advice gents. My ground arrangements have all been made by a reputable travel company so I'm good for the airport transfers but thanks for the warning about the taxi drivers. My hotel is in District 3 so it sounds like a spa or a Hoc Toc would suit given the little time I have free  . I have a pretty hectic schedule in Cambodia so may not have much time there for playing out, but after Siem Reap I go to Singapore for a few days which I know very well so I will probably see what's happening in Orchard Towers or Geylang.

For taxis/tuk-tuks (or moto-taxis), same advice applies for Phnom Penh, though this is for others as the OP apparently has it covered.
It pays to be assertive and insistently directive (in a polite way of course). I usually say, I want to go to [name hotel],, showing him a piece of paper with it written on, I want to go there direct. Right? And get him to confirm.
This is only for the trip from the airport. ABout town, they are far less likely to do a wind-up.
Siem Reap is different. There's only one way friom the airport, a straight road until you turn off on the main road to the village.BUT beware of them if asking them to show you p4p, chicken farms etc. They will be tempted to take you to some shitty place miles away where they get a kick back, all the while insisting it is amazing. All p4p of diffrerent types is walking distance in Siem Reap.

In that case I'd like to know what "not recommended safety wise" meant, (after more "ao" there than I could count).

I've no idea what he means. Most of his posts are one-liners, not a single review I could see of his experience overseas. Possibly just quoting hearsay.

It's hard to say if bareback is 'rife' when punting in developing countries unless you're looking for it. Most travel-wise punters would take their own condoms.

Cambodia's not for the uninitiated, even if parts do look like BKK, but there's plenty of good value p4p.

You're not going to have 1h massage + sex for £20 in Ho chi minh (550k vnd). With some luck you could have that for £40-50 but service would be avg

I haven t punted in cambodia or outside Ho chi minh so I can't say about the other destination.

However in general the price are not what they were before 2020.

You can find shit punt (equivalent of the romanian's one where the girl want you to finish in 10-15min) for £20. That's what you can get in Ho chi minh. Or maybe just a blowjob in a place called BJ bar.

Most decent punt I've seen are in the 1.5-2M range which is in the £50-70 bracket.

And I went to bangkok & pattaya 2 weeks ago and the price were also very inflated. I got quoted 1500-2500 for ST from freelancer, which is  £35-60 for a punt.

So price to some extent are quite similar from what I saw in thailand and vietnam.

But i couldn t see anywhere 1h massage + sex for less than 1000baht.

Is your price for phuket recent? I'd be surprise to have such a price disparity between thailand region
