The pound continues to "slump", dropping back to 30-year lows. Sadly, even more WGs have returned back to their home country, and I expect with this news that more will follow

At least some will stay if their home country's currency is doing even worse than the pound, and perhaps others will travel here. For example, the pound is still up compared Thai, Brazilian, and Romanian currencies compared to around 5 years ago. But overall it looks bad for punting in the near future, until our economy improves. It also means that basic import items will be more expensive for us, and as well as travel and punting abroad.
Any thoughts if there's anything that we as individuals can do, or if it's all driven by policy or just part of a larger natural economic cycle? Maybe someone with some Forex knowledge can comment?
Maybe the best outlook is that it's due to natural fluctuations, and after events stabilize, the pound will improve.
