Comms : I tried to book with Amy at Royal orchid but she was busy, so I took a short walk to marigold to see if they had anyone available. I walked in and was met at reception by T, who confirmed that someone was.
I asked T for a deep tissue massage, and she confirmed it was £50.there was another lady on the couch, (lin), T motioned to her to confirm she would be the one doing the massage. Kim came out from the back and said, long time no see, as did T. I asked T if I could use the toilet, she said I could. There was also another lady in the back, who I didn't recognise.i passed her as I went to the toilet.
the massage : I was told to go to the room just at the side of reception. I got undressed and then lin returned.
Lin started off on my feet, pressing on a few reflexology points which seems to be standard practice, before moving onto my left calf, and then onto my right calf. The pressure was soft/medium at best. Lin then moved onto my left hamstring and worked on this for a bit, before moving onto my right hamstring. At this point it was still soft/medium at best, and I wasn't very impressed. I just hoped things would improve!. Lin moved onto my butt and lower back and the pressure did improve a bit, and did slightly resemble a deep tissue quality massage. She then moved onto my upper back, shoulders and traps and reverted back to soft/medium. I WASN'T FEELING VERY GOOD AT THIS POINT! (the normal feeling you get from a massage). I normally start feeling good about 5 minutes into a massage. But I just wasn't getting into it. lin then started applying a bit more firmer pressure, and I did start feeling a bit better, but it didn't last, and she reverted back to soft, and just going up and down my back with her forearms. IT JUST FELT REPETITIVE AND BORING!
AT THIS POINT, I JUST WANTED THE MASSAGE TO BE OVER, AS I WASN'T INTO IT, OR FEELING IT!
Then came the turnover and lin worked on the front of my left calf, before moving onto the right calf. She then moved onto my left thigh, before moving onto my right. Again soft/medium pressure. UP TO THIS POINT THERE WERE NO C/C SWIPES OR ACCIDENTAL TOUCHES!. I was fine with that, but not the inconsistency of the massage. I DIDN'T WANT H/R AT THIS POINT AS I REALLY WASN'T FEELING IT, STILL!, although, at this point, lin did ask if I wanted any extras. I SAID, NO THANKS.
lin then moved onto my upper arms and chest. And, again it was soft/medium pressure at best.
And that was it.
I got dressed. I spoke to Kim as I left(she said that she hoped she would see me again). I spoke to T, who said the same, and I left.
Summary : I pondered on whether to give this a neutral or negative, as the massage was good in parts, but very inconsistent and I just didn't feel good mostly during the massage, but I certainly didn't feel good afterwards, and was glad to get out of there.lin seemed nice enough when she spoke at the beginning, but there was no conversation during the massage, which was fine, as I am there too relax, and don't like a lot of conversation during my massage, but there just seemed a bad vibe throughout. Maybe lin and I didn't connect, I don't know.certainly wasn't worth the £50 I paid.
As a result I settled on a negative!

Would I return - probably not. I hadn't been to marigold for about a year, and when I returned I found nothing much had changed in that time. Everytime I have gone there I've had a neutral or negative experience. Its just not the same place since jasmine sold it.
I like Kim who is fun and pretty, but she can't do a hard massage.
