Here is an update on my second visit to Dr May..

For this visit, was with Dr May, I usually prefer Diane. Anyhow, I notice that it Isaac also 45mins our 50mins as I walk out of the room. The quality of massage was no different to my previous visit. She did medium massage as requested. Those who enjoys teasing then she is one who can provide.

My review is to report a different experience. I think Dr May has a habit of doing only 45mins for an hour fee. Also I was charged £50 for an hour and she claimed this has been going on for several months which was not true. There is no advert for the published rates so I did not debate and hand over the fee. Hj was not agreed with a price but previously I gave her £20 which she accepted so this time I gave her the same amount but I noticed a slight disappointed facial expression.

My previous visit had a change from Diane to Dr May during the hour of massage. This was because I was early and to avoid me waiting , diane started the massage and then hand over to Dr May. I recalled 45 mins was done instead of an hour. I kind of thought it was due to the hand over and miscommunication and hence the 15mins short which I thought it was a genuine mistake.

My experience was not a good one with Dr May. If any of you have a different experience then Lesley a reply here. I want warn those who see Dr May to get an hour.

To sum up, her massage and extras are good but keeping it to 45mins instead for an hour at £50 is not value for money.

Only went there the once, no idea who I saw but same happened to me, paid for 1 hour and got about 40-45 minutes.  Never returned!

Thanks for the validation. I would avoid Dr May.
Diane is okay.

Thanks for the review Nice-dr. This habit of cutting the massage time down to 45 minutes seems to be a bit of a recurring theme. A few months ago I gave negative reviews to both Ban Sukanee and Lamphai for exactly the same reason. Never been back to either place since, nor will I. To put the price up to £50 on arrival is a bit of a cheek as well, it’s all getting rather expensive. Sorry about your poor experience, but I suppose it’s a lesson learned.

They just shoot themselves in the foot by doing it giving them no chance of repeat custom

Agree 100% clevertrevor. Thai Glow used to offer a really good service when Sue and Wan were involved, it has obviously lost some of that glow now. I hope fellow punters take heed of Nice-dr’s post and give it a miss.

Thanks Thatslife for your comments on other shops that do 45mins.
I will use independent ones like Sue or Anna at penylan and Roath. Both are the reliable and give good massages. Also they still charge £40 an hour.

Thanks for the review Nice-dr
Sorry to hear about your poor experience with Dr. May. This seemed to be a recurring theme with me, also when Dr. May was at baan sakunee not in regards to time, but the quality of the service as time went on, with regards to the massage itself and h/e. The first couple of times I saw Dr. May the massage and h/e were excellent, but this deteriorated as time went on. Whether it was due to her having more responsibility at baan sakunee, I don't know. But when she was first learning her trade she was excellent and I enjoyed seeing her, and always booked her.
What happened as time went on, I don't know, and whether this will be the case at thai glow, I also don't know. This seems to be the case with yourself, but with regards to cutting time, and therefore value for money.
Take care my friend.

Passed the address of Thai Glow recently by car and noticed now called what looked like Jan therapy. Can't find any info online under that name. Anyone been or have any info?

I did call up last week. It is Diane who answered. She seems to be doing to receptionist work. She told me a new starter. I have not tried. Dr May is still there.

External Link/Members Only - prices is between £45-50 for an hour.

If you look up Jan therapies on companies house (which is public info), I would say Diane is now running it.

She told me she is not the boss but just managing the appointments. I may be wrong.
