No, there have been plenty of knobs even recently who didn't take a kindly prompt. The gent above is of an increasingly rare breed who enter with humility and act positively.
Everyone may indeed like to feel welcome but many (re-)enter with a strut and no adherence to the basics and deserve being brought up short. Much of the friction is because these snowflakes take offence before (re-)reading the challenge and accepting they made a mistake.
Your patronising praise deliberately ignores the courtesy I have shown daily to many over the years. A more apposite jibe would've been "I see you got out the right side of the bed today" or "you had sex didn't you".
