When we moved further along the corridor she pointed to a room and said wait here, that's my room but I will put the money in my friend's room as I'm new to this and need to be careful. I never saw her again, despite waiting 20 minutes. Yes, I'm a dick and after 30 years of punting I shouldn't have fallen for it.

Sorry if I came across too harsh. But, he might as well handed over the money right there on the street. Where is the discretion? Wait at least until you are inside her room. She obviously knew exactly what she was doing. Once she had the money, she decided to con him. Told him to wait behind a random door, while she actually goes to her room and never returns, knowing the punter ain’t gonna make a scene. I bet my life she has done this before.

Once you are actually inside their room, it would be far more difficult to just disappear and never return, you could just walk out with her stuff then etc. Also, it would be a hassle to get the punter of the premises.

Read the review again, the OP was left/told to wait behind her door(actually a random door)while she goes and stashes it in her so called “friends” room that in matter of fact is her actual room.

This scam only works, if you are left waiting outside the room.
