Just been looking at this  on and off over the weekend, right now excellent set by the Pet shop boys! remember them in the charts when we used to run a Pirate wirless station back in the 80's!

Lovely concept music in the countery open air etc

But anyone ever either punted there or taken a SP there for a few days?.

I couldn't get into it at all. I think the fact there is a ton of epic concert footage at my fingertips on YouTube means the novelty of Glastonbury on the telly has severely waned for me.

Interesting idea taking a SP to a festival.  I go with the wife (not to Glastonbury) and I am envious of all the sex that (I assume) so many of campers are getting.  However  I am very happy being with her for the rest of the festival, as always just the lack of sex that is the downside.

The Mrs made me go to the Lytham Festival a few years ago. The Village People were on. Famous for Y.M.C.A.
Can't remember who else was on. But it was supposed to be summer, and I was fucking freezing. Long way from the stage, rip off refreshments and queues for the loo's.
Glad when it was over and I could go home.

I watched some of Paul McCartney... I'm a big beatles fan, but have to say he didn't sound good and didn't think much of his choice of songs.

This has already been commented on the movies/tv/ films thread. As I said Paul McCartney is a  man who is living off his past reputation.  He hasn't made a decent record  since Band on the run album with Wings. In fact some of his past releases are cringworthy. Time he retired and counted his £ millions

He sounded a lot worse a couple of years ago i thought, was it him really singing or miming, i agree about his set list.

My son was their with his fiance for about the 4th time and they both had a great time.

Dont really like glasto as a festival. Too much overhyped and under talented (wet leg) or ancient performers who should have quit years ago (mccartney/ross). That said I watched a few sets on the beeb and there were some good ones. My favourites were Idles, Kendrick and Simz.
