Appointment made via text, easy and prompt replies.
Parked at Asda just a few minutes walk away. This place is right next door to a pub, couple of tables outside but no-one there when I arrived. The door for Hattip is unlocked so you're not hanging about on the street waiting to be let in. Up the stairs to another door which is locked, let in immediately.
Told lady I had Appointment and paid her £40 for 1 hour massage. Shown into a small but clean room with shower in corner, massage table with hole for face, I was getting myself comfy when she came back into the room and asked if I wanted soft or medium massage, asked for medium.
She began at the ankle and slowly worked her way up with a little bit of small talk, " Have you been here before?", "Have you had  Thai Massage before?", " How did you know about us  ?". I told her from Gumtree.
Lady was dressed in black top and black leggings,  nice makeup on and black hair done in a bun style, age about 40 and attractive. I asked her name and that was the last of the conversation for the next 30 minutes.
Massage was good, when she got to the top of the leg there was the slightest accidental touch, so slight in fact it could have been accidental. She wiped oil off and did the other leg before doing back and shoulders, wiping oil off before asking me to turn over.
She asked if I wanted "more  massage " HE for  £20 or B2B for  £40. I only had  £20 in my pocket so that was that. She massaged front of legs before the finale, nice finish,  she cleaned me up and wiped any oil off.
I would like to return and could be tempted for the b2b to get my hands on her size 10 body.
An enjoyable session worth £60 of  anybodies money.

Is Hattip the sort of place you can just walk in and get an appointment or is booking a must?

My  first visit to this place mate,  I don't know how busy they get but they weren't busy when I was there. I would always give a place a call or text first but that's just my choice.

I’ve not been there for a while, but previously when I visited it always seemed busy. It’s also a legit massage place and you occasionally meet other customers on the stairs.

I visited recently and saw Jasmine. I had 60 min massage with HE (40 + 20).

For other extras (incl the HE) she offered topless for 40; B2B for 80; and B2B with reverse massage 100. These are way more than offered to OP on his visit. I stuck with the simple HE. It was OK, a bit mixed tbh. Full review to follow.

£40 +£80 for a hour's massage, turning to B2B in the last 20 mins, in a rough Northern town with a middle aged Thai lady is a joke - and they need telling so.

A rough Northern town!!

I mean, Darwen, Workington and some others probably pip it, but yeah - 'a rough, northern town'

The actual point being that I struggle to see how mutton there should be priced at the same level as it is for city rats in The Big Smoke

Less competition so easier to hike the price. Unfortunately!!
