I think it might have been a different game, if it never had rained, so Scotland have been lucky to win

You could clearly see that Georgia wanted the game calling off after the deluge of rain especially after they had gone a goal down so early in the game where as Scotland were more "up for it". After the excess water was cleared from the pitch it was not perfect but playable. Georgia were hoping the game would be called off and played the next day with fresh start the score at 0-0 but if it had to be re started the next day the debate would have been " would they re start the game at 1-0 and play out the remaining 84 minutes " I think that was the debate going on behind closed doors with the match and Eufa officials

Sad to hear the news that former Coventry City and Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Cedric Roussel has died at the age of 45 from a heart attack. We wasn't at Coventry for long as strike partner to Robbie Keane before moving across the West Midlands to Wolves before eventually moving back to his homeland Belgium. 45 years is no age at all to die of a heart attack. R.I.P

Leaving sarcasm aside, I think we will qualify this time around. I have followed Scotland since 1982 (my first world cup), I've seen constant fuck ups, dreadful performances, embarrassing press conferences (that numpty Craig Levine still makes my blood boil), but this time I feel we are getting it right after years of total shite.

Scotland have a decent manager now and should comfortably qualify.  Just need not get carried away like Ally MacLeod did when Scotland  qualified for the 1978 World Cup and he told the press "Scotland would return with a medal ". Things didn't quite work out, loosing to Peru and drawing with Iran in the group stages before beating the Netherlands in the final game. Always remember Archie Gemmill's goal which was voted one of the greatest World cup goals ever.

In my opinion I don't think there would be many if any from Wales  (now that Bale has retired) couldn't see many from Scotland or Northern  Ireland either from todays teams. Years ago yes when you had players like Dalglish,  Souness, Best,  etc
