Author Topic: Singthong - Peterlee. Has it permanently closed?  (Read 2150 times)

Was passing through NE and thought I’d try a quick massage. Had tried to book Singthong last year but couldn’t get appt, this time the website is down and Google says permanently closed. Didn’t divert to do a drive-by so couldn’t check, any local knowledge please? Will scrub off list if they’ve gone. Thanks.

They seem to be closed. Was headed up the A19, so did a quick recce detour. Shutters were down at 11.00am.

I've passed a few times when I've been in the area in the hope that it'll be open, but always has the shutters down.

Interestingly, "Plaifah Massage" (I saw them a while back, and they were in the Singthong premises, (see my review)) are still advertising  on Gumtree, but from somewhere in Hendon, Sunderland

That's very strange. I think the signage is still up at Peterlee, so I wonder if they're taking a break from it and possibly move back into there when things pick up again?

The signage is up; when they first opened they only had the window signage  and the sign on the building  still referred to the previous business.  So they paid up to have the Singthong signs put in place.

Maybe they've had some heat from Durham plod,( who have been a bit keen lately) and are lying low for a while.

Sadly, I have to confirm that Singthong are gone,  totally.  Was in  Peterlee  for work,  so dropped by. Signage  has gone,  so it's  a permanent closure.
