Very Sad. 67 is no age really

Goodfellas

Sad news. Played a great part in that film . Also starred as a crooked cop in the TV series Shades of Blue with Jennifer Lopez but I thought his talents was wasted in a TV show.

Just found out about this! Much underrated actor who was never better than in Goodfellas. Never got the credit he deserved.

This was not in the original script apparently.  Joe Pesci used to wait on tables in a restaurant before he became an actor and actually said this to a Mafia mobster when he overheard him say something. The mobster actually replied " so you think I'm a funny guy" Pesci told this tale to flim director Martin Scorsese who decided to put it in the film  :hi:

Brilliant In Goodfellas, i felt he didnt become the massive star i thought he would after that performance. But did see him in various other films over the years. RIP.

I previously heard that the scene was completely made up on the spot but looking on Google it does appear that Pesci told Scorsese about the incident so he wrote something in however the actual scene still went off script and a lot was adlibbed

I do recall that Liotta had a drug problem at one point, hopefully this wasn't his undoing

I keep thinking about the brain scene in Hannibal again. I found it rather disturbing yet brilliant and played on my mind for ages. If you haven’t seen it, you must.

Oh yeah almost forgot he had been in Hannibal. Brings a new meaning to the phrase brain food right.

RIP Henry Hill / Tommy Vercetti
