Argentine special forces could probably sort the cratering of the runway and then the plans for rapid re-enforcement are scuppered. Have to get the paras to drop in but minus any heavy weapons and I think the paras have been cutting back on parachute landing practice.

As Bigden says both sides are weaker overall but Argentina vastly more so and to such a level which makes it almost impossible to succeed. If they invaded their risk of failure is high and politically that would be disastrous for their regime. Much less so for ours. Consequently they are highly unlikely to attempt it for the foreseeable future.

And as Randomguy stated our military has been depleted, and clearly weakened, this and the attitude of the current government has invited Milei to claim the islands, is he bluffing or serious? This article just shows the extreme anti Russian state of the Ukronazi regime, they have removed Russian books from libraries, and removed statues of Catherine the Great in Odessa, the founder of the city, as well as many other historical monuments. Banning Russian in Odessa and other historical Russian cities would be like banning English in Cardiff, dumb.

Ballistic missiles go up high and then back down again. They travel fast and must tricky to intercept. Their ballistic missile must have self steering capability in the final stage. You would normally use ballistic missiles against stationary targets not ships moving around on the open sea.
