That's sad, used to love watching MASH. If I remember correctly the TV series lasted longer than the actual Korean war. It originally came out as a film ,then the TV series followed. I'm sure it s still been shown in the UK on some channel.  :unknown:

I cant remember the film, but I watched the TV series a lot. Hotlips from there is still around. :)

If I'm right the only actor who was in both the movie and the TV series was Gary Rich Burghoff, who played Radar O'Reilly. I enjoyed the series far more than the movie.
A few actors from the movie made guest appearances on the TV show, but he was the only one to play the same regular character. I remember one episode where he kept sending parcels home, and Hawkeye and Trapper were curious as to what was in them, so they got hold of one and X rayed it. He was sending a jeep home in pieces.

It actually came out first as a book. As much as I loved the film and TV series, the book is the most iconic. There are characters explored there far more than the others. It's a bit like Catch22.
The book is still available, print and download.

It had an iconic theme tune

 Manic Street Preachers do a great version of the theme tune.

MASH was the first American series I really got into every week without fail.  Over the years still have a good giggle of MASH, when found across the Internet in odd places :D
