Communication was a bit rough all done on the phone and a postcode sent. English isn't strong. Believe this girl works with others and the lady on the phone sounded haggered, wasn't convinced Marye existed took a chance anyway with nothing better to do.

It's not that easy. A lot of them live in fear of the pimp or gangs that control them. A lot of "controllers" have connections that can hurt the girl's family members etc and if they don't they usual say it anyway to scare them. Within the force I can tell you that police have very little powers to do anything about this properly or offer a reasonably amount of protection to reassure girls that have been trafficked into seeking help or speaking.

As with anything in life that is legit and operating properly the police have to work to limitations and borders, criminals don't have the same limitation or restrictions.
