Perhaps this would have qualified for the joke thread. Reading the title, even without the clue of the guy's name, it had to be in Ireland !

I dont see anything funny about a man dying and his corpse  being dragged around town, pretty tragic really

Quite agree, nothing funny in that. Sick bastards, dragging a dead or dying bloke around all for a few quid. They should be giving him some comfort in his final hours.

I wouldn't bother watching Weekend at Bernie's ever. 6.4/10 on IMDB though I'd give it 7.8 meself

Fair comment but it did bring to mind a Dave Allen sketch or the Fawlty Towers one where the guest flakes out and Basil fails to realise..

Just my personal opinion but there's a world of difference between a sketch or any other form of comedy fiction to two blokes dragging a barely alive man into a post office for a bit of cash.

The medics said he had just died when they got there, the two cunts should have got him some medical attention or at least given him some comfort in his final hours.

I should add I've seen loads of reports about people still claiming the benefits of deceased relatives but done without the body.

A post office owner in the East end was done for this years ago, when they died, he asked relatives to hand in the pension book as it was at he time, and continued drawing it.
Along those lines anyway, did a short spell at her majesties pleasure and bought a convenience supermarket on his release.

The way it was written up in the Daily Mail was deliberately phrased to arouse guilty chuckles I think. The bloke was ok on the way but “sort of slumped” near the post office is how it seems to have unfolded. The comment about it should be in the joke thread could also be taken as ironic.

The guy claimed he didn’t know the dead guy was dead but apparently locals have since given him black eye anyway. I suppose that’s not funny either.
