Morning erections

Most mornings I wake up with the mightiest of erections and an urge to pee.
The few times I don't need to pee, I usually don't have an erection.
So it looks like the two are linked. Yet during the day of course I don't pop a hard-on every time I need to pee.
And morning glory is supposedly due to high testosterone in the morning, or the body's way of flushing blood ,etc.
Yet nada if I don't need to pee.
How is it with you guys? Why do you think men get hard in the morning?

As already been mentioned, it's impossible to prescribe  what happens to an individual as we are all different in so many ways.

I am 56, fit, other than SPs' and wanking currently not sexual active but I can tell the time by my morning boner. The majority of my early morning rises are due to a stiffy,not piss proud, which I often wake up to with my hand clamped firmly around. Rarely to completion as I, semi wake up ,and access the situation and prefer to drop off again.

Sadly, my dreams are boring. I barely remember them. I never even had a wet dream in my life.

I've never had a wet dream either but i've never had morning glory either 
I remember as a teen when lads were talking about these things just staying silent and thinking there must be something wrong with me and wondering if it would happen at some stage but it never has.

Reading the articles however it says that erections tend to happen during deep REM sleep therefore you wouldn't necessarily know you were actually having them unless you woke up for some reason.
